Throughout the month of February, Prep Redzone Oklahoma is updating our prospect rankings for each class. And for the state’s 2025 class, we’re updating the rankings and expanding it to 175 prospects. Earlier this week, we released the 2025 Top 175 and throughout the week, we’ll be putting the spotlight on different players and position groups. In this post, we’re putting that spotlight on the top five prospects that made significant leaps in the latest ranking update this week. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more prospect breakdowns within the 2025 class. And check back each Monday this month for another class update!
Not only is Owasso cornerback Eric Harris Eric Harris DB Owasso | 2025 State OK the top ranked stock riser in this breakdown, but he made the most significant leap in the latest ranking update. Harris vaulted all the way up to #26 overall and is one of the state’s top defensive backs in the 2025 class. Harris has seen his recruitment take off and he was an instant impact player for Owasso last season after moving from Booker T Washington. Harris is a rangy corner that has absolutely excelled when he’s in man to man situations. In the last two months, Harris has seen his recruitment take off and as we get closer to spring football, that’s not going to slow down anytime soon. We’re fired up to see more of Harris in person on the 7v7 circuit, followed by school ball in May and June.

In his first two years, Norman North standout Garrison Utley Garrison Utley 6’3″ | 250 lbs | DL Norman North | 2025 State OK was thought of as a “jumbo” athlete that could move around and play a few different positions. During his junior season in 2023, Utley settled in on the defensive line and became an All State-caliber player. He was one of the absolute best in 6A-1 at getting to the quarterback. We got a chance to see him in person once in 2023 and quite a bit on film and you see a motor that doesn’t stop, a relentless effort to beat his man and he rarely gets pushed back. Utley’s older brother Harrison is one of the top offensive line prospects in the state’s 2024 class. Now, Norman North has another Utley that has emerged as one of the best at his position. His recruitment should take off very soon.

Elgin offensive lineman Jace Williams Jace Williams 6’3″ | 280 lbs | OL Elgin | 2025 State OK is an absolute mauler along the line of scrimmage and we cannot wait to see what he and the Owls look like this fall. Elgin is reloading for a possible state championship run in 2024 and they will definitely be one of the best teams in the state. Williams made a big leap up the rankings and continued to climb the ladder at the offensive line position. Williams also made an impact for Elgin on the defensive line but we love what we see from him on offense. Williams is the perfect prospect for an interior position, whether that’s center or guard is still up for debate. He’s athletic but incredibly strong. Williams is also one of the state’s top wrestlers and is one of the favorites for a 5A state championship this week in OKC.

Plainview standout Shepherd Sisemore Shepherd Sisemore 6’3″ | 185 lbs | WR Plainview | 2025 State OK absolutely tore it up at our camp in January and he showcased all of the abilities that we’ve seen on film during the last few seasons. Sisemore is currently listed as a wide receiver and that’s where he primarily worked during our camp. But don’t overlook Sisemore’s ability to be a game-changer on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary. In fact, there are a few college coaches that like his potential at the safety position. But for now, we’re keeping Sisemore at wide receiver because he has been incredibly consistent on the offensive side of the ball. Plainview has had an impressive run of athletic wide receivers that turned into top prospects over the last few years. It looks like Sisemore is going to be the next up.

The state’s 2025 quarterback class is absolutely loaded at the top. Five of the top twenty overall prospects are quarterbacks but there’s more depth to this position than just the elite guys. Kansas lefty Seneca Steele Seneca Steele 6’4″ | 195 lbs | QB Kansas | 2025 State OK immediately passes the eye test when you see him in person and when you’re looking at these quarterbacks as prospects for the next level, Steele has a lot of the tools that college coaches are looking for. Projecting Steele to the next level is an interesting process because the ceiling with what he could be in a few years is incredibly high. He’s big, has a cannon of an arm and can tuck the ball and run with athleticism and physicality. Needless to say, Steele is going to be a quarterback to watch moving forward this spring and fall.
