Good luck to the defenses going against Elgin’s offensive line, specifically on the left side. Joining Ogumoro on the left side of that O-line is fellow senior Jace Williams Jace Williams 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Elgin | 2025 State OK and even before Ogumoro landed in Elgin, Williams was going to be a player to watch for the Owls. He was an absolute force for Elgin last season and he simply moved bodies with ease. Williams has the complete package for us. He’s athletic and can move but he also packs a punch and when he is engaged with a defender, he always has bad intentions. Williams also joined Ogumoro as D1 commits this summer when he committed to Navy in June. And don’t overlook what Williams will do on defense for Elgin.

Jace Williams Jace Williams 6'1" | 280 lbs | OL Assumption | 2025 State LA enters the 2024 season as one of the most exciting lineman in the state of Louisiana for the 2025 class. Williams has a good combination of, length, athleticism, and physicality to his game that makes him a coveted lineman for colleges. Williams has a good first step and gets to dominating defensive lineman quickly. Equally impressive for Williams is his willingness to finish blocks. Williams gets to defenders and doesn’t stop until they are on the ground. As of now Jace Williams Jace Williams 6'1" | 280 lbs | OL Assumption | 2025 State LA is flying under the radar as a national prospect but the expectation are for his recruitment and national recognition to pick heading i to the 2024 season.

Elgin offensive lineman Jace Williams Jace Williams 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Elgin | 2025 State OK is an absolute mauler along the line of scrimmage and we cannot wait to see what he and the Owls look like this fall. Elgin is reloading for a possible state championship run in 2024 and they will definitely be one of the best teams in the state. Williams made a big leap up the rankings and continued to climb the ladder at the offensive line position. Williams also made an impact for Elgin on the defensive line but we love what we see from him on offense. Williams is the perfect prospect for an interior position, whether that’s center or guard is still up for debate. He’s athletic but incredibly strong. Williams is also one of the state’s top wrestlers and is one of the favorites for a 5A state championship this week in OKC.

rnElgin junior offensive lineman is a 2025 prospect that is going to get a boost when the updated 2025 rankings come out next month. Williams was a two-way player for the Owls and played really well on the defensive line as a nose guard but this breakdown is all about the offensive side of the ball. Williams is violent at the point of attack and his offensive film was very impressive to watch. During the 2023 season, Williams primarily lined up at left tackle but would also see time at right tackle as well. Standing around 6’3, Williams looks like a prototypical center or guard at the next level but is dominating opponents from the tackle position in high school. There are countless clips on his film of him just tossing or overpowering opponents to the ground. What’s really scary to watch is when Williams gets out of his stance in a hurry and is pulling as a lead blocker for Elgin’s explosive running game. It felt like Williams completely immobilized his opponent in every single clip. We’re curious if Williams will stick at tackle in the fall or will he move to the interior of the offensive line. Either way, he’s an offensive lineman that is a next level prospect and is potentially top five at his position.

One thing that we’ve said quite a bit this fall already is just how deep Class 5A is this year at the running back position. Elgin has a few running backs you need to know about but paving the way for them up front has been an impressive offensive line. Junior offensive lineman Jace Williams Jace Williams 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Elgin | 2025 State OK is absolutely nasty at the point of attack. One thing that really has impressed us about Williams so far this season is his ability to play in multiple spots on the offensive line. He’s already shown on film that it doesn’t matter where he lines up, he has the ability to open up running lanes. Williams has been dishing out pancakes all season and it doesn’t seem like he’s slowing down anytime soon. We’re looking forward to taking a deeper dive into his abilities as a prospect because he has some serious potential.
