The first of two Lawton MacArthur DB’s that will be playing for C4 this weekend is 2026 Adam Auston Adam Auston 6’2″ | 200 lbs | DB Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK at the safety position. Auston first emerged on our radar as an overall athlete that could do a little bit of everything. He has turned into one of the better overall prospects in the state’s 2026 class and since the end of his sophomore season, his recruitment has taken off. Auston is a safety that has such a natural feel for the game. The instincts he plays with are some of the best we’ve seen form this class and he’s sure to make some plays this weekend.
Highlights
Joining Auston from Lawton MacArthur is 2025 cornerback AJ Vaughn AJ Vaughn 6’1″ | DB Lawton MacArthur | 2025 State OK and he’ll also be playing for C4 this weekend. Needless to say, the Highlander secondary is going to be one of the best this fall. Just like Auston, Vaughn has seen his recruitment take off since the end of last season with power five offers. Vaughn is also shooting up the prospect rankings for a 2025 class that is absolutely loaded. Compared to some of the other Highlander standouts that we’ll see this weekend, we aren’t as familiar with Vaughn so we can’t wait to see him in person.
Speed is the name of the game for Union cornerback Ashton Cunningham Ashton Cunningham 5’9″ | 135 lbs | DB Union | 2025 State OK and he uses that speed to his advantage against every wide receiver he comes across. Cunningham will play for 918 Elite and is one of the faster prospects in the state’s 2025 class and he has the chance to really take his recruitment to the next level this offseason. It’s already starting to pick up some momentum and Cunningham has also experienced success this offseason during the indoor track season. Cunningham is a very intriguing prospect to watch this weekend.

Owasso 2026 defensive back Carter Langenderfer Carter Langenderfer 6’2″ | 190 lbs | DB Owasso | 2026 OK is on the shortlist of defensive prospects we’re most excited to see in person this weekend. Langenderfer had a really good showing up in Springfield last weekend with Sooner 7’s 15U squad. And as we’ve mentioned a few times in these preview articles, that 15U squad is absolutely loaded and this Owasso Ram was one of the better standouts last week. From the safety position, Langenderfer has the potential to be an absolute game-changer and have a massive impact during the tourney.
Highlights
Choctaw has had a solid run recently of producing hybrid-like defenders in the secondary that bring a lot of versatility and can be moved around. The latest example of that is 2026 DB Da’Jon Green Da’Jon Green 6’1″ | DB Choctaw | 2026 State OK and he’ll be playing for the Okie Takeover squad this weekend. Green is very impressive physically and that fits the mold of what Choctaw has produced over the last five years. Green is comfortable in a lot of positions because of his size and overall athleticism. He’s going to be one of Okie Takeover’s top prospects during this weekend’s tourney.
Owasso 2025 defensive back Eric Harris Eric Harris DB Owasso | 2025 State OK will be playing for TheUNIT Platinum this weekend and that’s a team that has high expectations for winning the whole tournament. Harris brings a lockdown presence at the cornerback position and when you look at the corners this team has with their size and speed, it’s going to be tough for opposing offenses to move the ball. Harris, similar to a few other prospects on this breakdown, has seen his recruitment take off since the end of his junior season. He has a lot of momentum going right now.

Heritage Hall 2026 defensive back Jerrod Williams Jerrod Williams 5’11” | DB Heritage Hall | 2026 State OK has been on the radar since his breakout season as a freshman. We’ve written about the 2022 state title game where he led the Chargers in tackles but he has really emerged as a lockdown corner. Williams impressed our writers at this tournament a year ago and he’ll be playing with YAYO this weekend, looking to do the same thing. When we saw Williams in person last fall, he really impressed us in 1 on 1 situations against some stars at wide receiver. He’ll be out on an island again this weekend.
