Lawton MacArthur 2026 quarterback Aivan Locklin Aivan Locklin 6’0″ | 175 lbs | QB Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK will be playing for C4 this weekend and the Highlander signal caller is going to benefit from having some of the best overall talent around him. Locklin can absolutely sling the rock and after checking out some of his film from last fall, we’re really impressed with his ability to push the ball down field. When you combine his arm strength with the talent he has at receiver in a 7v7 setting, you have a combination that could lead to Locklin stealing the show this weekend in Broken Arrow.
Edison 2027 quarterback Braddox Broughton Braddox Broughton 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Edison Prep | 2027 State OK is one of Oklahoma’s more experienced freshman quarterbacks heading into this weekend’s tournament. Out of the state’s 2027 QB class, Broughton was right there near the top in terms of playing time last fall. Broughton will be playing for TheUNIT this weekend and we’re fired up to get a chance to see him in person. Broughton has impressed us on film and this weekend will be a good chance to evaluate him in person. Broughton is one of the younger quarterbacks to watch on this breakdown.
Highlights
Del City 2026 quarterback Braylon Lassiter Braylon Lassiter 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Del City | 2026 OK is definitely on our short list of signal callers to watch this weekend. We’ve only really gotten a chance to see Lassiter on film and he did a good job last fall with Star Spencer. Lassiter moved back to Del City and could be the guy moving forward in their offense. This weekend, Lassiter will be playing for YAYO and their coaches believe he’s going to be one of the better quarterbacks we see during the tourney. And looking at some of the players YAYO has at wide receiver, Lassiter should have a big weekend.
Highlights
Bixby 2026 quarterback Carson Kirby Carson Kirby 5’11” | 185 lbs | QB Bixby | 2026 State OK will be playing for Sooner 7 and is going to be one of the best quarterbacks in attendance. Kirby was Bixby’s leading passer last season in an offense that featured three different quarterbacks. But Kirby has a chance to be the state’s best quarterback in this 2026 class and it’s a class that is getting deeper and more talented as we move forward. Last weekend, Kirby absolutely tore it up in a tournament up in Springfield. Kirby and some of his Bixby teammates at wide receiver will have a big impact.
Millwood quarterback CJ Turnbull CJ Turnbull 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Millwood | 2026 State OK is another example of a 2026 quarterback that is right there at the top of the Oklahoma ranks. Turnbull will be playing for Okie Takeover this weekend and he’s definitely on the short list of 2026 quarterbacks to watch this weekend. Turnbull can absolutely push the ball downfield and we’re fired up to see this new 7v7 program this weekend. This team is mostly made up of Edmond football players but they are sprinkling in a few OKC athletes and surrounding areas. Turnbull is a two-year starter for Millwood.
Highlights
Edmond Memorial 2025 quarterback and Kansas commit David McComb David McComb 6’3″ | 215 lbs | QB Edmond Memorial | 2025 State OK will be one of the top quarterbacks in attendance on Saturday and Sunday. McComb will be playing for the F3 Dawgs, another new program on the 7v7 circuit this offseason. Just like Okie Takeover, this is another program mostly made up of Edmond athletes with McComb headlining this year’s first season. We have watched a ton of McComb during these 7v7 tournaments over the last three years and he excels in these settings. There aren’t many throws he can’t make.
Highlights
2026 quarterback Drake DeGroote Drake DeGroote 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Valley WDM | 2026 State IA will be playing for Level Up and he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the state’s 2026 class according to our Iowa site. DeGroote was very productive last fall as a sophomore and we’re fired up to see what he can do in person against some really good Oklahoma competition. One of the notes our writers had on him was his accuracy on the deep ball. So it’s going to be fun to see that kind of arm talent on display in a 7v7 tournament setting. DeGroote should be one of the better signal callers to watch.
Highlights
Union 2027 quarterback Kason Delgado Kason Delgado 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Union | 2027 State OK will be suiting up for Sooner 7’s top 15U team and this is one of the best 15U squads in the region, not just the state of Oklahoma. Delgado is an outstanding quarterback and he is going to have a ton of weapons this weekend. Delgado got some playing time for Union in the second half of the regular season last fall and shows a lot of promise moving forward. His arm strength and how effortless he makes some of the throws look is something that has stood out to us. Delgado and this 15U team expects to have another perfect weekend.
Highlights
Southwest 7 is coming down from (mostly) Missouri and they have a strong QB in 2024 standout and Central Missouri commit Kylan Mabins Kylan Mabins 6’1″ | 195 lbs | QB Glendale Highschool | 2024 MO coming with them. We got a chance to see Mabins in person last week during the Mokan tournament in Springfield and he impressed in our limited viewing of him. There’s a lot of confidence and swagger in his game and he also has the ability to absolutely sling the rock. Based on what we saw from last week’s tournament, Mabins could very well have one of the strongest arms in the tournament field.
Highlights
Union 2025 quarterback and Utah commit Shaker Reisig Shaker Reisig 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Union | 2025 State OK has been one of the state’s top quarterbacks since his freshman season. Reisig will be playing this weekend for 918 Elite and similar to McComb, we’ve seen countless tournaments featuring Reisig over the last three years. And the one thing we’ve always written about when it comes to Reisig is the accuracy and precision he plays with. So when it comes to this weekend’s tournament, it’ll be hard to find another signal caller more accurate than Reisig from start to finish.
