Flores continued to prove he is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the state, turning limited opportunities into explosive moments. His explosive running style was on full display as he ripped off chunk gains and found the end zone on an impressive run. Flores’ ability to accelerate through tight spaces, bounce off contact and finish plays with authority shows why Utah State targeted him early. His versatility adds tremendous value, as he can shift from power concepts to outside schemes without losing efficiency. Grandview may have fallen short in the playoff matchup, but Flores’ performance confirmed his status as a true game breaker. Utah State is getting a difference maker on either side of the ball and his ceiling continues to rise.

The Utah State commit continues to show why he’s a premier prospect in Colorado, and USU got a steal. The 6’3 200-pound linebacker had 13 total tackles, 3 TFL, and 1 sack. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, balance, and good change of direction. Smooth and controlled body movements. Very good strength. Very good bend around the edge showing his flexibility. Very good hand speed, hand strength, and hand placement. He swats the OL’s hands out of the way and attacks the QB. Very good block shedding and get off speed. Very good bull rush. He is consistently creating pressure on the QB or making plays in the backfield. I’m always impressed with his film, and I’m very excited to see how he does at the D1 level.

Flores had himself a nice outing with the first game. He had 6 total tackles and 2 sacks against Vista Peak prep. The 6’3 200 pound edge rusher continued to show off why he has multiple offers. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. Flores maintains a very good bend around the edge and shows off his flexibility and balance. Good hand speed to engage with the OL first. Very good hand strength and hand placement. Very good block shedding and get off speed. Flores used his powerful bull rush to knock the OL off their feet, and create pressure on the QB. He was stopping players in the run game as well, using his strength to stop them in their tracks. I’m looking forward to seeing how Flores continues to improve his craft over this season.

Flores is a linebacker who brings both strength and speed to the field, making him a well-rounded defensive weapon. His ability to set the edge and hold his ground against blockers is impressive, but he also has the speed to chase down plays from behind. Flores possesses excellent vision, reading plays quickly and filling gaps before the offense can react. His ability to get off blocks in a hurry allows him to make game-changing plays and disrupt an offense’s rhythm. Heading into the offseason, Flores figures to hit the camp circuit hard, where his strength and athleticism should catch the attention of scouts. With his skill set and relentless playing style, expect him to turn some heads and solidify himself as one of the most impactful linebackers heading into the next season.

Flores had himself a night against the stout Cherry Creek team. The 6’2 190-pound edge rusher had 4 tackles, 2 TFL, and 2 sacks. The Cherry Creek offensive line is no joke, and for Flores to put up these types of number is very impressive. Flores has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. He’s got a good bend around the edge. Flores has good quickness out of his stance, going into a low pad level. Initiates contact first, uses his good hand placement to control and steer the lineman. Very good hand strength. Very good bull rush. His competitive toughness really stands out to me. He keeps fighting through blocks, to get the TFL. It’s an impressive performance by an ascending player. Excited to see how he does in the playoffs.
