Wise measures in at 6’0 167-pounds playing QB for Grandview. Last season, he went 8/13 for 101 yards, 61.5% completion rate, 1 TD, 0 INT, with 5 carries for 41 yards. Wise has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, good speed, change of direction, and balance. Displays good throw power with some zip in his throws. Wise has good pocket presence. Shifty to make defenders miss in the pocket or out in open space. If no one’s open, he’ll use his athleticism to extend plays or run for a first down. Very good throw on the run paired with good ball placement skills. Wise also shows his ability to fake defenders out on the play action. He’s got some potential and with more reps will shine.

showed a lot of promise and potential as a Sophomore, getting some varsity playing time as well as reps on JV. Wise played under center, in the pistol, and the shotgun, developing his run/pass game footwork in all systems. He was very effective on PA boots where his efficient release got the ball to his recievers in space quickly to YAC. His drop back footwork was on 3-step quick game/access throws were clean, showing his chemistry and faith in his WRs often throwing the ball well before they were out of their break. On deep passes Wise shows good accuracy, consistently dropping the ball into the bread basket for his WRs. Wise also has the athleticism to make plays when the play breaks down to maneuver the pocket to find a throwing window or take off with good speed and toughness. Im excited to see Wise get stronger and find more consistency in his lower body mechanics.
