Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Lawrence measures in at 6’0 235-pounds playing guard and defensive line for Grandview. Last season, he had 24 total tackles (2 solo, 22 assisted) with 4 TFL. He has good athletic ability due to good change of direction, speed, and acceleration. He’s an athletic offensive lineman. Good strength and initial quickness out of his stance. Very good pull blocking. Lawrence does a great job accelerating from 1st to 2nd level blocks. He’s also athletic out in space blocking. As a defender, he maintains a low pad level paired with a bull rush to knock OL off their anchor. Uses his good get off speed and block shedding to disengage the block and attack the backfield. With more development, he’s a name to watch.

Read EvaluationRobert Davis | Prep Redzone Scout
Lawrence is a defensive lineman trending toward a breakout season after putting together another steady campaign. He matched his freshman production, showing consistency and growth while continuing to establish himself as a dependable interior presence. Lawrence excels at anchoring against the run, using leverage and strength to clog lanes and force plays to bounce outside. He also flashes the ability to penetrate and disrupt plays behind the line of scrimmage. His physical style of play and willingness to do the dirty work make him valuable to any defensive front. With an offseason focused on explosiveness and refinement, Lawrence is a prospect ready to elevate his game and should emerge as a name college scouts start tracking closely.
