Tipping the scales at just over 260 pounds, Allen moves with the agility of someone 90 pounds lighter. His athleticism stood out immediately; if he had camped in the same gear as high school linemen, you’d be hard-pressed to tell the difference.

Allen emerged as a vocal and physical leader during drill sessions, consistently setting the pace for his group. His first step is explosive, and he showcased a variety of effective counter moves that kept offensive linemen guessing. With his combination of size, speed, and technique, Allen projects with Power Five potential. He’s a name to watch closely in the coming years.

Explosive first step off the snap with violent hands and a motor that runs high at all times. Versatile enough to play inside or on the Edge as of January 2025, but looks more like an interior guy at this point.

There are a million things going on all at once during these events and it took some jogging of my memory to put it all together, but Genesis Allen impressed me a ton during practice. A good-looking tweener right now that doesn’t have the length that the “ideal” defensive end has, but is quick and big enough to bang on the interior defensive line. Played offensive line too, for the North Carolina Future Stars team. Bright future.
