Robert Davis | Prep Redzone Scout
Shepardson is a backer on the stock riser list that plays with a lot of speed and is able to hit home when his number is called. He has the strength to set the edge and force run plays back into his help. He is on a defense that has tons of talent all over the field which allows him to play free and fast. He has a hand full of offers but will be looking to duplicate this past season and turn some heads on the way.

Shepardson was one of the standouts from week 1 and he is a natural ball hawk being able to bring pressure off of the edge. He has the strength to set the edge and get off of the block quickly to make a tackle in the backfield. He is a player that can hit home when his number is called and bring the QB down. He will be a player to keep an eye on moving forward and should be a stock watch this summer.

Shepardson balled out for Cherry Creek. He had 5 tackles (4 solo, 1 assist) 3 TFL and 3 sacks. Game changer on defense. Shepardson has very good athletic ability, due to his very good speed and acceleration/burst off the line of scrimmage. He’s consistently beating the tackles due to him getting a low pad level to out leverage the offensive line, and will bend around the edge. Shepardson also has good arm length to swat the ball at the line of scrimmage. He has good competitive toughness due to him playing with a high tenacity and playing after the whistle. Excellent performance, and I’m excited to see what he does in the championship game.

Turning heads left and right with his eye brow raising play, the Cherry Creek junior officially put the Prospect Tour on notice with his dynamic athleticism. In fact, Shepardson recorded a 4.72 second 40-yard-dash, 4.45 second shuttle drill, and a 9’8″ inch broad jump. Clearly, Shepardson has the type of skill-set that cannot be taught, and some refinement with his talent should only make the Class of 2024 graduate that much more dangerous later this season. Don’t be surprised if Shepardson pops off in his more expanded role with the Bruins in 2023.

Shepardson was a player that was able to make an impression early as he was able to be one of the overall fastest guys on the day. He was showing that speed and explosiveness throughout drills and was able to continue that against the receivers as well. He is able to react quickly being in and out of breaks, driving on the football to try and make a play. In indy and going against receivers he was able to get to his depth and drive up on the underneath routes. He was a player that was flying to the ball and shows the ability to be a ball hawk. He will be a backer to keep on your radar looking ahead.

could see plenty of exposure heading his way with a stellar showing on Saturday. While it always helps to play at a school like Cherry Creek that continues to pump out talent year after year, this 2025 graduate is a raw prospect with a whole lot of upside. A season ago, Shepardson recorded 16 tackles in limited playing time as a sophomore, but this fall could see an uptick in playing time with a plethora of Creek defenders on track to graduate this spring. With that being said, Shepardson has the mental and physical capacity to line up anywhere on the field with his havoc-creating play.
