Jenks senior quarterback Owen Jones Owen Jones 6'1" | QB Jenks | 2025 State OK will be one of the more intriguing players in the state this fall. Jones is a good quarterback and has shown improvement over the last 12 months. But there is no doubt that he has a wealth of skill players around him so he should put up some monster numbers this fall. We could see him emerge as one of the top producing quarterbacks, not only in 6A-1 but in the state with the talent they have at the skill positions. The senior quarterback has the keys to this offense and they’ll be going very fast from the start of the season. This could be a very big 2024 campaign for Jones and the revamped Jenks offense.

KD wasn’t the only Jones to leave Broken Arrow for Jenks in the offseason. Junior quarterback Owen Jones Owen Jones 6'1" | QB Jenks | 2025 State OK became QB1 for the Trojans after starting for the Tigers last season. The thing that really impressed us about Jones last week in the semifinals against Union was his efficiency in the passing game. There’s no doubt that Jones has weapons in the passing game. Jones isn’t the only standout quarterback in the Trojan backfield. But when it comes to slinging the ball around, Jones is the guy to do it and he has an outstanding deep ball. An underrated part of his game is his ability to distribute the ball to different receivers.

As the Trojans turned things around in the second half, Jenks junior quarterback Owen Jones Owen Jones 6'1" | QB Jenks | 2025 State OK has been solid during that time period. He’s rarely made any mistakes on the offensive side of the ball and he’s gotten the football to their playmakers. Jones will look to add his name to the list of Trojan quarterbacks who were able to beat rival Union twice in the same season. Jones is a quarterback prospect that is going to be intriguing moving forward. He continues to gain more and more confidence each week.

Christiansen ended up being the top target for Jenks junior quarterback Owen Jones Owen Jones 6'1" | QB Jenks | 2025 State OK on Thursday night but Jones had a big night in the air. He finished the night with 265 yards on 9-15 passing with a pair of touchdowns. But Jones got off to a hot start with the long ball. Three of his first four completions went for at least 45 yards. He had three completions total on the night were 50+ yarders and the Trojans rolled on the offensive side of the ball. Jones has had a strong season so far and he continues to get more and more confidence. And after watching the Trojans on Thursday night, there is no doubt that Jones is going to benefit from having some legitimate weapons as pass catchers. Jones is a QB we’ll be keeping an eye on this fall.
