About Devonta

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say I’m a mix of a physical and elusive receiver with solid hands but can be used on the running back side of things because of my frame for my age I run hard break tackles and very nifty I would also say I’m on the more skilled side of receivers too but my best ability by far is my ability to get open and get yards after catch I can take a bubble and turn it into a 50 yard touchdown

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would say I have a killer mentality but I live and die for physicality and love competition but I could also work on being more of a leader because I would say I am one but won’t always catch myself leading if I’m being honest I do not lead consistently but when I do you will most definitely see a change In the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No but I do have some student of the month awards from 8th grade

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Definitely leadership and a better mentality I started off playing football with some great natural ability but was very hotheaded now I’m almost like a coach on the field taking things play by play reading defenses noticing coverages and defensive habits I would also say I have gotten way more Skilled than your average freshman receiver with routes releases and my hands.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Lost my grandma don’t know my real family had to move out of my moms house used to be homeless going house to house living off paycheck to paycheck but thank god I was blessed with Niki and mark Stinde understanding my situation and taking me in as one of their own

What type of college are you looking for?

Any D1 colleges or schools that are good for education

I began to look into what Toe was about when I saw that he visited Iowa towards the end of the regular season. He told me Iowa State also is showing interest in him. When that’s happening to a freshman in high school, it’s probably a good idea to pay attention to his development. Playing in a program that reached the school’s first state semifinals this fall, Toe was behind a veteran group of receivers and running backs, so development was key in 2025. There’s a limited amount of video on his Hudl page. Hopefully we get to see a highlight video from the season sometime soon. The footage we can find is from his eighth-grade year. Those clips do reveal an intriguing prospect with the versatility to shine at receiver, running back and defensive back.
