Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Toe is ranked as the top Athlete in Iowa’s 2029 Class, according to the latest Prep Redzone update. The Waukee Northwest product is the No. 9 player overall in the cycle. Much of the rating is attached to potential based on speed, athleticism and explosion. He’s a powerful, quick-twitch athlete that could develop at multiple positions in high school. Colleges will be attracted to his versatility and ability to mold him. There’s a path to success as a running back, receiver or defensive back. An impact on special teams seems likely. He’s receiving attention from Iowa and Iowa State already, and is poised for a season that could have more suitors checking in.

I began to look into what Toe was about when I saw that he visited Iowa towards the end of the regular season. He told me Iowa State also is showing interest in him. When that’s happening to a freshman in high school, it’s probably a good idea to pay attention to his development. Playing in a program that reached the school’s first state semifinals this fall, Toe was behind a veteran group of receivers and running backs, so development was key in 2025. There’s a limited amount of video on his Hudl page. Hopefully we get to see a highlight video from the season sometime soon. The footage we can find is from his eighth-grade year. Those clips do reveal an intriguing prospect with the versatility to shine at receiver, running back and defensive back.
