A true shutdown CB, Junie proved that once again last weekend. With oily hips he can quickly flip and change direction to stay with the receiver. Smooth and fluid in his backpedal, Pack has no wasted steps/momentum and can transition out of breaks with nice burst. He has great ball and positioning skills to always be in the right spot to make the play on the pass. After having 8 interceptions his freshman year, honestly I could see that number going down because I think teams are going to just not throw his way. Which looked to happen over tournament weekend, his coverage is lock tight that QBs go to their next read after looking his way.

There may not be a freshman in the area off to a better start than Franklin, and is solidifying his spot ad the #1 overall DB. He currently leads the entire state of MD in interception with 6.

I got to first see Junie this summer at some 7v7 and he impressed then and has carried that into this season. A starter for Old Mill from day 1, Pack is a shut down corner. He has quick feet and oily hips, able to turn and run with no loss of speed/momentum. Shows impressive technique for a freshman. Junie will stay in phase with the WR, ride his hip, use the sideline to his advantage, and doesn’t bite on moves. He consistently puts himself in the right position to make the play and shows good ball skills. Not afraid to hit either, Franklin is active in run support and works hard to get off blocks. Franklin “Junie” Pack is a name to know going forward and should develop into a big time prospect.
