For anyone involved in any way with prep football recruiting, scouting, and even coaching in Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers two prospects in the summer are two of the most important days of the year. The highest level of coaching and talent a lot of these prospects see in their calendar year, along with the eyes of well over a dozen different college programs from the FBS to DIII level, makes for one of the most electric and competitive environments of the summer. Check out the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp's Honorable Mention QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, LBs, and DB Standouts below, only on PrepRedzone.

--

*in no particular order. Additionally, there were hundreds of prospects in attendance and I couldn't get a good look at everyone, despite my best efforts.*

Honorable Mentions

After watching Evansville's [player_tooltip player_id='1733710' first='Harker' last='Larsen'] live, I'm pretty surprised at how short his offer sheet currently is. Call him underrated, call him overlooked, call him whatever, this Badger State product can play. A First Team All-Eye Test selection from the camp with verified size and eye-catching athleticism backing up his play at the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp, Larsen was a smooth and fluid mover, showing the ability to change direction effortlessly and without wasted movement during drill work. He could also flips his hips well for his size in transition an mock coverage. Didn't get to see his play much, unfortunately, but the tools are all there from a D1 recruitability stand point. There were a handful of Missouri Valley schools in attendance, so we'll see if he laid the foundation for an offer in the coming weeks.

PRZMN was stoked to finally get an in-person look at Caledonia's Cooper Allen. A garage freezer of a sophomore LB, Allen was light and springy on his feet for an underclassman of his size, and he was doing a good job of showing off his athleticism during drill work, where we primarily watched Allen perform at. An off-ball B1G LB obviously has to be mobile, and Allen, during the purposefully high-tempo, high-energy, nearly-frantic circuit of drills led by Golden Gophers coaches and players, was adjusting well on the fly, quick, yet able to shut things down in a blink. Good overall body control from the stud LB and wrestler, especially with verified size backing him. Allen did a good job of asserting himself as a must-know name to the Gophers staff on Tuesday night in the 612.

What a showing from Eastview CB [player_tooltip player_id='1581395' first='Trey' last='Sanders']! The sticky 2027 put together one of the strongest 1v1 showings of any prospect out of the Skills group. During drill work, where Sanders showed off start/stop burst and acceleration, I saw the Gophers staff working with him with particular attention, and he has good size for a true CB projecting to the next level. From his CB spot, Sanders showed off his Big School man coverage experience, as he looked comfortable and instinctive against a variety of different routes and receivers. With high-level quickness and explosiveness, Sanders was reading and anticipating receivers breaks with deadly accuracy, and PRZMN saw him personally pick off a couple passes and break up a couple throws in the limited time we watched the Skills group in the 1v1 competitive settings. Able to press, consistent with his eye discipline, and did a good job of routinely finding a WR's hip pocket.

https://twitter.com/TreySanders_10/status/2062183787362947443

One of the hottest names in Minnesota right now, [player_tooltip player_id='1654549' first='Graham' last='Greseth'] is set to take over the QB1 job at one of Minnesota's leading Big School programs. Fresh off performing at the University of Iowa's prospect camp, Greseth made the short drive to Dinkytown to throw live for the Gophers staff, as well as a ton of scholarship coaches from the FBS-DII ranks. D1-worthy size as a pocket-passer will always draw, and Greseth is a good athlete to back up the verified measureables. Tight, compact throwing motion and consistent in his mechanics and accuracy, Greseth can make all the throws required in a camp setting, but without any varsity tape right now, I'd be surprised if someone pulls the trigger early. However, he's going to be one of the first Minnesota game highlights that college coaches will be devouring after Week 1. Should be a big summer and junior season for Greseth if he keeps this up.

https://twitter.com/GrahamGresethJr/status/2062204843461120455

One of the biggest ball-carriers in the state of Minnesota, Litchfield's [player_tooltip player_id='1633392' first='Anthony' last='Taylor'] was an eye-catcher at the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp on Tuesday night in Dinkytown. For the lofty size, Taylor could start/stop and accelerate impressively, and his hustle and overall effort, not to mention mobility, stood out amongst his peers in the RB group. Could make the move to LB at the next level, but only time will tell! Northern State and Minnesota-Duluth have offered as of right now.

One of the hottest names and breakout stars of the offseason, Spring Lake Park's [player_tooltip player_id='2171211' first='Marqueal' last='Mitchell'] made some noise at the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp on Tuesday night. Fresh off an PRZMN spring showcase performance in which he went 4.54/4.57 in the 40 on the lasers, Mitchell was holding up with the best of the best in the loaded RB group that descended on Dinkytown. His explosiveness, change of direction ability, and overall fluidity make for a bright future for Mitchell on the ever-evolving recruiting trail.

What an entrance to the Summer Camp SZN for [player_tooltip player_id='1633454' first='Ben' last='Ims']! The Northfield Raiders standout pass-catcher was in desperate need of some verified measureables and an in-person, competitive evaluation, and Ims made the most of the opportunity on Tuesday night in Dinkytown. With better-than-expected testing numbers, PRZMN saw Ims burn one of the fastest defensive backs in Minnesota on a fade ball to highlight his explosiveness, as well as overall route running ability. Northfield High School is a very under-the-radar hotspot for talent right now. Should be a lucrative summer for Ims on the camp circuit.

https://twitter.com/BenIms22/status/2062002242350153831

Yet another positive exposure point for this well-known Byron LB. Heimer has been hitting the weight room and dinner table hard this offseason and has done some great work adding muscle and sculpting his body. He looks more physically ready for a college LB room than most, and his highlight tape and physicality would back up that fact. Superb quickness and explosiveness combination at a verified 6'1+, he's going to be a LB that Missouri Valley and FCS schools will be watching closely the rest of the summer.

A must-know LB name in the 2028 class that PRZMN was juiced to see on the camp trail, Orono's [player_tooltip player_id='1651480' first='Grant' last='Eslinger'] lived up the hype. Although he was closer to 6', Eslinger was twitched-up, explosive, and really moved and changed direction well amongst the talented LB group at the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp. We'll see what kind of hype he can generate on the recruiting trail the rest of the summer, but either way, I wouldn't want to get in the way of this kid padded up in the fall of 2026.

A skyscraper of a rising senior, [player_tooltip player_id='1629868' first='Jayden' last='Meister'] is a frankly freaky combination of verified measureables and athleticism. You couldn't take your eyes off him at times, and PRZMN got a good look at Meister during drill work, where his basketball background showed up in his lateral agility, start/stop ability, and short-area quickness, pretty dang well in fact. It still looks like Meister is growing into his body a bit, and the word "project" and "raw" do come to mind a bit when watching him live, but I feel like that takes away from his athleticism, which I once again have to announce is rare at the size. Sioux Falls, SMSU, and St. John's all involved right now.

A recent PRZMN Spring Showcase standout, Anoka's [player_tooltip player_id='1893472' first='Edward' last='Benson'] is one of the more dynamic and physically/athletically eye-catching prospects in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. He once again put up impressive and noteworthy athletic numbers during testing, positively prompting a move from the DB to LB group, coordinated by the Gophers' staff themselves. Benson has the build for the D1 ranks, but it'll be about putting it together on film, as well as the right fit/projection/scheme, both at the prep and college level, for this versatile 2028 to shine.
