Another Minnesota 2027 that has picked up his first offer ahead of camp season that struck a chord in the live eval for me on Tuesday night in Dinkytown, was Eastview’s

. Trey showed quickly that his length he has at his disposal from top to bottom can overwhelm a wide receiver for the long haul of deep and intermeidate routes. Trey also showed a well-versed presence in 1v1 coverage reps I watched as he has excellent ball-tracking skills that elevated his stock heading into more camps this summer. Surely another prospect on my Part 3 list that is deserving of more attention coming his way.

! The sticky 2027 put together one of the strongest 1v1 showings of any prospect out of the Skills group. During drill work, where Sanders showed off start/stop burst and acceleration, I saw the Gophers staff working with him with particular attention, and he has good size for a true CB projecting to the next level. From his CB spot, Sanders showed off his Big School man coverage experience, as he looked comfortable and instinctive against a variety of different routes and receivers. With high-level quickness and explosiveness, Sanders was reading and anticipating receivers breaks with deadly accuracy, and PRZMN saw him personally pick off a couple passes and break up a couple throws in the limited time we watched the Skills group in the 1v1 competitive settings. Able to press, consistent with his eye discipline, and did a good job of routinely finding a WR’s hip pocket.

has putting in the work. The junior, who is now a two-year starter against 6A WR opponents, possesses the premier size for the position that really gets college coaches excited, and he was balling out during offseason competition when the lights were the brightest, especially during the 2025 Bemidji State Big School War on the Shore, where he was a First Team All-Camp selection. College programs surely took notice, and Sanders has had a busy fall on the recruiting trail, visiting North Dakota, MSU-Mankato, and Northern Illinois for unofficials, and Northern Iowa has has reached out with an invite to campus as well. Some solid momentum building up behind the scenes for the Apple Valley product.
Currently sitting at 36 tackles, 2 PBUs, and 1 INT, Sanders is impressively long, with a wiry frame and a ton of room to fill in, as well as what look like some of the longest arms in the Metro. He’s an excellent zone defender who can read the QB’s eyes and the developing route concept to step in front of WRs and make smooth breaks on the rock. The 6’2 CB also displays great ball skills, as he can use those long arms and body control to contort himself to break up balls on some difficult passes and angles. He also shows off his speed in an impressive chase down of a loose Farmington RB to save a TD, and he’s a good tackler in 1v1 situations to boot. Should be a good offseason for the junior lockdown corner.

is one of the more high upside of the bunch, coming in at nearly 6’2 and over 150 pounds as a sophomore with a ton of room to fill in. Sanders is also a multi-sport athlete, as he plays lacrosse for the Lightning, and there’s burgeoning data coming out about the effectiveness and next-level success of football/lacrosse athletes when projecting to college and even the NFL ranks. Sanders had a strong showing at December’s PrepRedzoneMN Showcase as well, notching a 40 in the high 4.8s and going 8’5 in the broad jump twice, showing a strong foundation of both speed and explosiveness for an underclassman DB. Running with the 6A Lightning’s varsity, Sanders showed that he’s confident in man coverage – especially as an off-man corner – who possesses the speed to stay with receivers working vertically and closes quickly and effectively. Sanders is long at the catch point and does a good job of undercutting WRs with good timing and technique and will shed blocks, sometimes with impressive physicality, to set the edge for his defense on the perimeter. Balanced skillset with a lot of room to develop. The future is bright for this Lightning sophomore.

A lanky returning starter and two-sport athlete, Sanders was a serious impact player as a sophomore last season. He racked up 37 total tackles and 2 PBUs in 9 games, an impressive and promising stat line. His varsity tape is extremely promising. Sanders showcases high-level straight-line speed, which he uses to great effect when closing the distance on wideouts. Unlike a vast majority of DBs, Sanders isn’t soft, in fact, he welcomes contact. He’s shown that he has the ability to collision lead blockers and make key tackles in the run game. He’s got two years to continue to develop still, and he’s very talented now. Sanders has a high ceiling and deserves way more recruiting attention.
