Minnesota's offseason camp and event scene is on the up and up! In addition to the heralded PRZMN biannual showcase stops, emerging brands and faces in the Twin Cities and Outstate Minnesota are really beginning to cement themselves as must-stops on the offseason circuit in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. One of the mainstays is 612Qs and founder Quinn Frisell's burgeoning umbrella of training branches that primarily focuses on the Quarterback and Wide Receiver positions. Frisell's various 612Qs and 612WRs groups unite for a huge day of competition every year at the 612Qs Offensive Skills Camp, now onto it's fifth year and iteration and dare we say, better than ever. This year's 2026 612Qs Offensive Skills Camp featured eye-popping, laser verified track times ran by ETS Performance, scholarship offers handed out by the NSIC staffs in attendance, D3 coaching representation from all over the state, and a loaded staff of counselors making sure the kids got the most out of the day of work. Learn more in the evaluations from the 2026 612Qs Offensive Skills All-Camp Team below! Finally: Quarterbacks! Dig in.

Talk about a stock riser! You're going to see this 2027 Waconia Wildcats ranking go up this week thanks to the heat and recruiting momentum that [player_tooltip player_id='1704256' first='Karsen' last='Herman'] is currently generating on the recruitin' trail. I think it's safe to say his work with 612Q's is coming together and paying off, as Herman, your overall MVP and QB MVP, had a tremendous showing, catching and holding the eye of every DII program in attendance. I'm assuming it was easy for the scholarship programs to imagine Herman - with his 6'4, 200 lb. frame - standing in the pocket against NSIC defensive linemen and delivering strong, accurate footballs thanks to that cannon of an arm attached to his right shoulder. His overall size and natural arm strength, as well as in-synch lower & upper body, helped Herman generate noticeable boom and a ton of power on his throws, and the Waconia product could stretch the field easier than other QB in attendance. Plus, Herman was getting the ball out quickly, consistent in his timing and mechanics, and very accurate, showing off impressive overall command of the football and the route tree. Bemidji State's talented OC/QB coach Jordan Hein offered Herman after the camp due to his performance, joining Northern State on his growing offer sheet. What an offseason and what a showing from Waconia's [player_tooltip player_id='1704256' first='Karsen' last='Herman']!

Hopkins High School's [player_tooltip player_id='1651164' first='Tre' last='Moore'] solidified himself as a top tier 2028 in Minnesota at the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp. PRZMN was stoked to get such an indepth look at Moore, who is a tough one to get eyes on in the offseason thanks to his impressive basketball background that has seen him run with the Royals' vaunted hoops squad since he was an 8th grader. Moore is a legit D1 prospect in both football and basketball, however, and he made sure everyone knew that early into the camp, as the 5'11 QB/PG clocked a laser-verified 4.63 40-yard dash right in front of PRZMN, an exciting indication of Moore's athletic ability, and the arm lived up the hype as well. Moore, who threw at a 54% clip for early 2,000 yards and 17 total TDs against Minnesota 6A competition last fall, has also been the primary architect of Hopkins' turnaround and comeback from the depths of Big School despair, and you could see why after watching him sling the pigskin around in a camp setting. Lightning-quick release, good touch on his deep balls, and accurate to all three levels of the field, Moore's snappy, compact mechanics could really generate some zip on the football, and his footwork was also impressive and aided him as an off-platform passer to boot. A legit 5'11 who can't be more than 150 pounds, Moore is an interesting overall evaluation, especially with the high-level hoops background, but the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp was an overall strong grade and visibility point in his developing resume.

Representing the always-talented and always-underappreciated 605 and Sioux Falls area, Washington High School has a real-deal talent on their hands in 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1555919' first='Javi' last='Vazquez']. An ATV of a sophomore signal-caller, Vazquez made the 3 hour and 45 minute drive to Concordia-St. Paul more than count, coming in at 6'3, 201 lbs. and popping of some strong, laser-verified testing numbers for a sophomore and really catching the eye and exciting the various college coaches and media in attendance. Oh yeah, and he earned MVP honors from 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp's loaded staff of counselors. Big, athletic, and with a cannon of a right arm, Vazquez was flicking the pigskin around with noticeable accuracy and command, and he stretching the field vertically with as much as ease as anyone in attendance. Not only was Vazquez consistent, the 200+ lber. was able to easily complete tougher throws on the route tree with noticeable ease, and according to PRZDAK Head Scout [player_tooltip player_id='1292716' first='Nate' last='Wahl'], Vazquez is the likely starter for Washington in 2026. Fun QB name to watch out of Sioux Falls, lady and gentleman!

[player_tooltip player_id='1096597' first='Beckham' last='Vanvoorst'] is simultaneously one of the more interesting as well as well-known 2027 on the PRZMN Ranking's Big Board. A rising four-year starter who started his career at Minneapolis South - where he played QB as well as SAF - Vanvoorst transferred to Cooper before his sophomore season, taking over the role of the Hawks' QB1 as an underclassman, although unfortunately missing a handful of games due to injury but still finishing with a near 60% completion percentage, nearly 1,000 yards through the air, and 12 TDs to only 3 INTs. However, as a junior, Cooper went a disappointing 3-7, and Vanvoorst only managed 84 completions on 155 attempts (54%) for 1,235 yards and 11 TDs to 8 INTs with less than 100 yards rushing. It's still hard for me not to think about Vanvoorst's safety days back with South, and it's difficult to continue gauging him as a pocket-passing-only QB serving him best at the next level. That being said, Vanvoorst looked good in front of nearly double-digit college programs at the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp. Thicker physically, with broad shoulders and a strong overall frame on him, Vanvoorst was flicking the ball around with noticeable ease, a quick, compact release thanks to his work with Quinn Frisell and 612Qs, and accuracy from the reps I saw. Additionally, his work in the weight room has added to his overall arm strength, and [player_tooltip player_id='1292716' first='Nate' last='Wahl'] was hearing some noteworthy buzz about Vanvoorst from a couple notable programs in attendance, although there were rumors a hypothetical offer could come as an "ATH" as opposed to "QB" only. Definitely a fun storyline and narrative to follow out of the 2027 QB class in Minnesota.

I'm excited to see if Ryan can best his 51% completion percentage, 18 passing TDs, and eight wins as the Fire's QB1 from his 2025 season, and things look like they're trending up!

There is some serious competition for the QB1 spot in Minnesota's 2028 class. Aforementioned Hopkins Royal [player_tooltip player_id='1651164' first='Tre' last='Moore'] and Belle Plaine's future four-year starter [player_tooltip player_id='1543013' first='Reed' last='Creighton'] are two signal-callers racing step-in-step for the title of QB1 in their sophomore class, and the two 2028s were competing simultaneously at the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp at Concordia-St. Paul. We already broke down Moore and his showing earlier in this feature, and Belle Plaine's Creighton is just as talented, developing into a now-6'1, 180 lber. with very impressive arm strength, poise, mechanics, and experience in his game. Always accurate and mechanically-sound, Creighton's really been catching our attention due to his improving arm strength and zip. The sophomore can routinely put harder throws downfield on a rope and on a line, and his accuracy is and once again was, top notch when compared to his peers. The ball never dips or sputters out on 5-step, longer developing throws or from tougher, off-platform arm angles, and he's comfortable in a camp setting and competing and holding his own against older, bigger, and more seasoned upperclassmen competition. Stay tuned with PRZMN and our upcoming 2028 Ranking's Update next week to see where Creighton & co. land!

Talk about a breakout performance from the Class AA QB! 6'2, 185 lber. [player_tooltip player_id='2057056' first='Carter' last='Ask'] was an eye-catcher thanks to his physical frame, height, and room to fill in, and his arm really caught the attention of PRZMN and 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp's star-studded roster of coaches and counselors, so much so that he walked away with some MVP honors and recognition from 612Qs! Ask was strong-armed, accurate, and could generate serious velocity on all different kinds of throws from all different kinds of arm angles and situations, and he was light-footed, nimble, and athletic in his footwork both inside and outside the pocket. Plus, Ask could really stretch the field with authority and was coachable, competitive, and focused throughout the hour-and-a-half of work. With a tall, broad-shouldered frame that Klein said was measuring in at 170 pounds, the 2029 is sporting a great frame with some already noticeable muscular definition, poise, and oh yeah, arm talent. Klein also mentioned his busy and accomplished baseball background, which more than successfully showed up when throwing the pigskin, and Klein displayed big-time command and ball placement ability, not just for his age, but overall and when compared to some upperclassmen competitors at the event. Make sure you check the velocity, arm strength, and accuracy boxes on this young gunslinger as well, and although the ball can come in a little high on some of his shorter throws, there's obvious arm talent and developmental upside in this young Skipper.
Get your bootstraps ready, folks, there's another McAninch in town! Twitchy, controlled, and obviously athletic when moving and throwing off-platform or navigating simulated pressure from the various 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp's drill work, McAninch's arm strength and accuracy were polished and mature well beyond his years and absolutely could hang with the seasoned group of upperclassmen competing on the other side of the 50. Big command of the route tree for his age, capable and proficient in a variety of settings, coachable, competitive, and calm in the midst of chaos, it's hard not to be bullish about this young McAninch's future in the Mankato West QB room.

From what PRZMN can gather, there are two names vying for the Hornets' QB1 spot in 2026. 2029 [player_tooltip player_id='1892904' first='Will' last='Grunnet'] and 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2160439' first='Brady' last='Olin'], the latter of which PRZMN got to check out in depth at Saturday's 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp. Olin looks physically larger and more filled out than your typical sophomore QB, and his arm caught and held our attention a few times throughout the camp. Olin had a noticeable arm strength/accuracy combination working in favor, and we saw a particularly impressive rep during 1v1s where the Edina underclassman threw a mean seam ball on a rope right into the hands of a streaking & speedy wideout. This is one 6A QB competition I'm going to be monitoring closely this offseason.

Another new QB name added to PRZMN's radar thanks to the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp, 2028 Carter Kuehn was thrust into varsity action with the 5A Orioles due to an injury to [player_tooltip player_id='1540406' first='Everett' last='Arnold'] and earning some thrown-in-the-fire reps against the likes of Park Center and Cretin-Derham Hall. The St. Louis Park product, aided by that strong, notable 6'2, 200ish lb. frame, could generate some serious velocity on his underneath throws, and I liked his mechanics, release, and footwork during drill work. With Arnold still recovering from knee surgery, make sure to stay on the lookout for Kuehn potentially starting things off for the Orioles in 2026.

Someone is due for a rankings bump! Paynesville has a fun and dynamic 2027 QB on their roster in [player_tooltip player_id='1638567' first='Mason' last='Hansen'], who made his way down from the St. Cloud area ready to put in work. The 6'1, 175 lber. showed PRZMN early on why he tallied more than 2,232 all-purpose yards in 2025 as a junior, popping off an eye-catching 4.75 and 4.76 laser-verified 40 and following it up with a 4.44 pro-agility and 30.9” vert. Shoutout to ETS Performance for the metrics and equipment. Hansen, who went 134-209 (64) for 1,882 yards and 17 TDs as a junior, had a good all-around showing, throwing to all three levels of the field with accuracy and timing, and he manufactured one particular moon shot deep into the Concordia-St. Paul airspace that really held our attention. I wasn't sure if Hansen had what it takes to play QB at the next level going into the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp, but after the event, I think I may be swayed. Up the rankings you go, son!

Speaking of reps, Jerstad was consistent, and he put a good ball out for his WRs more often than not, with accuracy, timing, and sound mechanics leaving an overall strong impression on PRZMN throughout the course of the 612Q's Offensive Skills Camp. Dig in.
