I feel that nearly each time I have been at a 612 event in recent years, Reed comes out as one of my top-tier standouts from their events and that was no different on Saturday in St. Paul. I felt he boosted some of the best footwork I saw from the group in my eyes and has gotten even smoother with his throwing mechanics. He’s also gotten quicker with his release from outside of the pocket from my last live eval. Our QB2 in the class has shown a ton of progression since he was first on our radar as an 8th grader, and I hope to see even more come out at college camps this summer.

There is some serious competition for the QB1 spot in Minnesota’s 2028 class. Aforementioned Hopkins Royal

are two signal-callers racing step-in-step for the title of QB1 in their sophomore class, and the two 2028s were competing simultaneously at the 612Q’s Offensive Skills Camp at Concordia-St. Paul. We already broke down Moore and his showing earlier in this feature, and Belle Plaine’s Creighton is just as talented, developing into a now-6’1, 180 lber. with very impressive arm strength, poise, mechanics, and experience in his game. Always accurate and mechanically-sound, Creighton’s really been catching our attention due to his improving arm strength and zip. The sophomore can routinely put harder throws downfield on a rope and on a line, and his accuracy is and once again was, top notch when compared to his peers. The ball never dips or sputters out on 5-step, longer developing throws or from tougher, off-platform arm angles, and he’s comfortable in a camp setting and competing and holding his own against older, bigger, and more seasoned upperclassmen competition. Stay tuned with PRZMN and our upcoming 2028 Ranking’s Update next week to see where Creighton & co. land!

With the 2027 Rankings Update live and published on PRZMN, the 2028s in Minnesota are firmly on the clock, and although a lot is going to change from this current Big Board in the coming update, you can bet your butt that

is going to stay in the top of the 2028 QB heap. With another year of weight room work and natural development from the last offseason, Creighton looks like he’s added a bit of size, both vertically and on the bathroom scale, and he showed good overall comfortability in an off-platform context for a sophomore playing in Class AAA in Minnesota. Although he was a bit up and down accuracy-wise throughout the afternoon, Creighton was particularly on the $ when he locked in and focused on his mechanics while on the move, and he also proved he can accurately deliver the football in the face of pressure and outside of the pocket. You can tell that Creighton is comfortable in a variety of arm angles on a variety of different routes, and the sophomore flashed some really impressive balls throughout the afternoon in Savage. Keep an eye on where the Belle Plaine product lands in the upcoming 2028 Rankings Update next month.

My colleague Austin did a write-up today where he touted how highly many of us at PRZ thought of Creighton, and I agree wholeheartedly. Boasting a 4.0 GPA and some standout statistics from his sophomore season, as well as an All-District selection last season, there are very few athletes I’m excited to watch more in 2026 than the Belle Plaine product. His tape is super intriguing. The 2028 prospect boasts a solid frame matched with athleticism that allows him to extend plays when the pocket collapses. Time and time again on his tape, I was impressed with the ball that he throws. In tight windows shallower than 20-yards, Creighton will rip balls with a high-level of efficiency. Deeper downfield, however, he has shown that he can lead receivers perfectly as well. I’m excited to see what he can do during his junior season at the helm of the Tigers’ offense.

was a coveted prospect among our scouts during the offseason, and he continued to show growth after a promising freshman year. Creighton finished with over 1400 passing yards, 14 TDs, and 3 INTs in his sophomore season. A strong passer with quick release and zip on his passes to hit tight windows, Creighton has really improved on his timing and rhythm with his receivers while continuing to improve on his deep ball placement. Creighton also continued to showcase his talents as an improviser, particularly cited with a forced fumble on a run against Worthington with the ball flung back to Creighton, which he was able to maneuver around the defense and turn what could have been a turnover into a first down run. Creighton’s game sense and talents will continue to improve with time, and it will be exciting to how Belle Plaine will fare with Creighton’s development over the next 2 years.

I can’t say enough nice things about Creighton. He was my other choice for top practice performer, and he’s just now entering his sophomore year. He’s got several qualities that one can consider elite. His ball placement, touch, and mechanics are all extremely high-level. He can throw on the run and off platform with ease and to great degrees of success, and Creighton only manages to improve. He threw for over 1,300 yards in just 7 games as a freshman, with a full year as a sophomore, the sky is the limit for what Creighton can accomplish both this season and in his future.

Creighton is not only my favorite underclassman QB at the camp, he’s my favorite 2028 prospect in Minnesota in general. If you watched him play, you’d never guess he just finished his freshman season. His technique has developed rapidly. Creighton made throws all day that had coaches murmuring how high his ceiling was and how good he’d end up being. He boasts a talented arm, phenomenal throwing mechanics, and he still has three more years to develop. We’ve seen growth as a passer, and he’s continuing to develop physically with a noticeable 4.69 shuttle time. He started 7 games as a freshman, throwing for over 1,300 yards during that time. I’m eagerly awaiting his sophomore season.

, the lone underclassman of the blue group that caught all of our attention throughout the camp. Creighton plays like a natural in the pocket, showing great release and was one of the most accurate passers through the showcase, especially during the routes-on-air portion of showcase. Creighton had been a consistent standout within the 612 QB’s program throughout the winter, and he looked sharp throughout the showcase. Creighton is a name that should be on the rise as he continues to gain reps under Center going forward for Belle Plaine.

originally got on our radar thanks to 612Qs, as we got a look at the then-8th grader at the 612Q’s Offensive Skills Camp last spring at Concordia-St. Paul’s campus, where his delivery, arm strength, poise, and accuracy looked far above that of an average middle schooler. Fast forward half a year and it comes as no surprise that Creighton was the varsity starter at Belle Plaine, taking over after Week 1 of the season and now in his first offseason at the high school level. Creighton’s arm talent is just too hard to ignore, and the underclassman is already a ropy, lean 6’1, 160 with a ton of room to fill in. Creighton owned a compact, tight throwing motion and release, and the ball rifled out of his hand with noticeable and impressive zip, tightness, and accuracy. Creighton was right on the $ with just about 100% of his passes, and his arm continued to catch my attention throughout the night of competition.

If there were a Most Improved QB award I would’ve handed it to Creighton immediately. Not only did he spend some time in the weight room last offseason, but mechanically he’s improved leaps and bounds. He slings a tight spiral and was dotting up contested receivers all day. It took me a moment to realize that despite all of this rapid development, Creighton just finished his freshman year of football. He’s a talented underclassman QB who needs more recognition.
