Stillwater wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='492378' first='Deakon' last='Jones'] is still the state's top wide receiver in the 2027 class and he's been considered that guy for a while now. Unfortunately, Jones got hurt halfway through his junior season so we haven't been able to see the full body of work from the Stillwater standout. We wrote about Jones this summer and how he has been living in the weight room. He's made himself a bigger, faster and stronger receiver to go along with all the natural skill that he possesses as a pass catcher and overall playmaker. Jones was primed for a monster junior season but all signs point to him coming back stronger than ever when the calendar flips to 2026.

Broken Arrow running back [player_tooltip player_id='649663' first='Octavian' last='Roberson'] is battling some nagging injuries but if you look at what he did in the first half of the regular season, you see a player that has turned the corner and has figured things out. He's a complete playmaker and can help the Broken Arrow offense in a variety of ways. In fact, when you look at the last few years and into this season, he's done just that. He can break a big play in the blink of an eye. He can help the passing game as a receiver out of the backfield or stay in and pass protect. He's also shown the ability to be a workhorse with games where he had 30+ carries. Now he just needs to get healthy and finish strong in the playoffs.

Salina wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='807020' first='Cooper' last='Hooker'] is a 2027 prospect that we've written and posted about quite a bit over the last several years. Simply put, he's going to help whatever program he ends up at. Hooker understands that he has to work so much harder to get looks over some of the other 2027 wide receivers in this class. But we'll just throw this out there. Watch him in person or even on film. It doesn't matter what the setting is. It could be one of our camps or 7v7 tournaments. It could be an elite prospect camp at OU. It could be under the Friday night lights. Hooker is consistently one of the best players on any field he steps on. He's a prospect that deserves more respect.

Deer Creek wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'] is enjoying that breakout season that he was primed to have this fall. All signs pointed towards Gibbons being that breakout star in this Deer Creek offense this season. He was absolutely torching the track this spring and was putting up times that got his name on radars of D1 programs. He had a terrific spring and summer and has carried all of that momentum into this season. Deer Creek is going through a bit of a youth movement but Gibbons is definitely a name to remember moving forward. We think as his junior film and those track times make the rounds in the next few months, he could really blow up.

Sand Springs wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1530080' first='Dom' last='Forbes'] is one of the best wide receivers in the state and if you ask the people in Sand Springs, they would tell you that he's at the top of the list. Forbes is going to be a fun prospect to watch this offseason because he brings everything you want to the table. He's rewritten the career receiving records at Sand Springs and he's still a junior. The production is there, the playmaking ability is there. Forbes is going to be running track this offseason and that could open some eyes about just how fast he truly is. For whatever reason, he's still flying under the radar as a prospect but in our opinion, that should change in the next six months.

Del City's offense has been one of the best in Class 5A an in the state this season. The emergence of wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1664120' first='Josiah' last='Chester'] as a true offensive threat has been a big reason why this fall. Chester was a player that stood out in a few games last year but he was an underrated sophomore that was still flying under the radar. We got Chester in person at our camp back in May and he was arguably the best athlete in attendance. We then watched him again a few weeks later with the pads on and the overall athleticism and playmaking ability still stood out in a loaded team camp setting. Chester is definitely a name to keep an eye on because he is a very talented playmaker.

Lincoln Christian running back [player_tooltip player_id='602991' first='Braeden' last='Baker'] has taken another step forward this season and he's an interesting prospect to follow in this class for a few reasons. First off, Lincoln Christian is one of the most dominant teams in the state. The amount of plays Baker has played in the second half is lower than anyone on this list. Then you throw in the fact that he's splitting carries with one of the top running backs in the state's 2028 class and it's clear that Baker doesn't have as many opportunities as other players on this breakdown. But throw on the film and look what he does with the reps that he gets and he's a player that belongs near the top of the RB position.

It's been a tough season for Millwood as they are going through a youth movement this season, playing quite a few freshmen and sophomores. The unquestioned leader this season has been running back [player_tooltip player_id='1109329' first='Anthony' last='Keys'] and despite the record, Keys has been one of the best players in Class 2A-1 this season. He's been a dynamic offensive weapon for Millwood since his freshman year but he has been the engine that has made the Falcons go this season. We have been very impressed with his ability as a running back and more specifically as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Throw on the tape from this year and watch Keys as he's made a huge jump forward.

Edmond Memorial wide receiver Cam Quarrels is a newcomer to Oklahoma that has really impressed us in his short time here. He moved in from Arkansas this offseason and we were told that he was going to be a player to watch for the Bulldogs this season. That's certainly been the case as he's been electric for them in the passing game. As Edmond Memorial worked in a new quarterback, replacing a four-year starter, Quarrels emerged as arguably the top target in this offense. He has been incredibly reliable and has been an instant impact player for Edmond Memorial. The future is bright with him and another standout 2027 wide receiver in this offense.

Way out in the panhandle you have Hooker running back [player_tooltip player_id='1084102' first='Justin' last='Palacios'] and he's in the same boat as a running back that has been tearing things up since his freshman season. Palacios has without a doubt been arguably the most productive 2027 prospect in the state when you look at his full body of work and he should definitely get more eyeballs on his game. We've seen him in person a handful of times and every time he impresses with the ball in his hands. However, we did watch him again earlier this season and for the first time in the last two years, we started to wonder if his ceiling could be higher on defense. He's a heat-seeking missile and was very fun to watch on that side of the ball.

Coweta's [player_tooltip player_id='474870' first='Brock' last='Heilmann'] is another running back that has been playing significant time since his freshman season and has been producing at a very high level. He's come into this season and has been on an absolute mission and he has the Tigers playing really good football as we head into the playoffs. We watched Heilmann in person once this season and the first time he touched the ball, he took a kickoff back for a touchdown. He's absolutely electric in the open field and he has put up some monster numbers this season. He's always produced at a high level but he's continued to grow and he's certainly a 2027 RB name to watch this offseason.

Lawton MacArthur running back [player_tooltip player_id='1182029' first='Connor' last='Claborn'] was a player that we were interested in after watching him in person prior to his sophomore season. This year, he's absolutely blown up and firmly established himself as one of the top running backs in a loaded Class 5A and he continues to climb the charts in the 2027 class. Claborn has been productive, week after week and the thing that really stands out to us when we look at what he's done this season is the games against the toughest opponents. Regardless of the result or the scoreboard, Claborn comes to play and has been able to produce against some of Lawton Mac's toughest opponents this year.

Pryor's [player_tooltip player_id='1684110' first='Jackson' last='Parks'] is our final 2027 prospect on this breakdown and he is such an intriguing prospect to follow over the next 12 months. We've admitted that Parks had been flying under the radar coming into this season. That quickly changed and it didn't take long for him to become a name we wanted to know more about. Watching him in person and then seeing the production he's had this season has sold us that he's going to be a hidden gem in this 2027 class. It feels like his best football is still ahead of him and he could even transition to more of a hybrid tight end role in the future. He's big and dynamic and has been a big part of Pryor's explosive offense.
