[player_tooltip player_id='1716194' first='Abe' last='Gomez'] - Junior Quarterback - Holdenville

Holdenville junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1716194' first='Abe' last='Gomez'] has been a touchdown machine for the Wolverines this season. Last year, Gomez ran for 15 touchdowns all year while helping guide Holdenville to the district title. This season, Gomez has 16 touchdowns through the first six games and shows no signs of slowing down. He's also run for nearly 900 yards on 80 carries. Gomez runs Holdenville's run-first offense and when we say run first, we mean that Gomez has attempted less than ten passes all season. They execute misdirection to near perfection and are hoping that will lead to another district title and a deeper run in the 2A-2 playoffs. This week, Gomez and the Wolverines square off with Dibble. It's the first of two showdowns with top five teams this month. They also travel to defending champion Davis in a few weeks. With Gomez leading the way, the Wolverines are a tough offense to get off the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='805100' first='Ben' last='Daniels'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Collinsville

Collinsville looks to stay in the district title hunt Thursday night when they take on Claremore. It seems fairly simple as the winner will stay in the hunt and the loser is going to have a lot of work to do in order to not land in the four seed. Senior wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='805100' first='Ben' last='Daniels'] is a player that we're highlighting coming into this match-up. He's one of the more consistent playmakers in Class 5A and he seems to show up week after week, making plays on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he's leading the Cardinals in receiving and can beat defenses in a variety of ways. With crisp route running and sure hands, Daniels is about as automatic as it gets and then he's very dangerous with the ball in the open field. Don't overlook what Daniels is able to do on the defensive side of the ball as a safety. He's been known to become a ball hawk and again, once he gets the ball in his hands, good things usually happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1836640' first='Braxten' last='Antuna'] - Junior Running Back - Elgin

Elgin junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1836640' first='Braxten' last='Antuna'] is one of the more underrated players in the state right now. And it's understandable why that is. Elgin is led by one of the best running backs in the state and Antuna is playing more of a supporting role right now. But he's been incredibly productive and while it might be easy to overlook him because of who Elgin is starting, to disregard him as an absolute playmaker would be a big mistake. Elgin goes on the road to face Weatherford this week and you can make the argument that it will be their toughest district test of the season. What's interesting is when Elgin beat Weatherford on the road a few years ago, that's where we first saw Elgin's current starter at running back. It was obvious he was a star in the making. Antuna will eventually be the guy at starter and he could show those same signs this week that the future continues to be bright at Elgin with running backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='807020' first='Cooper' last='Hooker'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Salina

Salina junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='807020' first='Cooper' last='Hooker'] is one of the best wide receivers in the state and should be talked about more. So let's get this out of the way. He doesn't LOOK like one of the marquee wide receiver prospects but if that's all you're seeing, you're not seeing the whole story. Hooker is an incredibly tough wide receiver that has some of the best production in his class. He's a dynamic playmaker that can impact not only the offensive side of the ball but he's also deadly in the return game. Last season, Hooker had an early season injury that really limited what he was able to do. This season, he's been healthy and the production has been there. Hooker and the Wildcats will look to hand Wyandotte their first loss of the season on Thursday night. If they are able to do that, they have a shot at getting back into the district title hunt. Hooker always shows up ready to go and we expect the same this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='473891' first='Creed' last='Barrett'] - Sophomore Quarterback - Washington

Washington sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='473891' first='Creed' last='Barrett'] has firmly established himself as the top quarterback in the state's 2028 class and he's starting to rise up the chart in the state regardless of class. Last year, he was our Freshman Of The Year and his momentum has only continued this season. He's become a legitimate D1 prospect and continues to pick up more offers and attention. Barrett and the Warriors face Marlow in a game that will more than likely decide the district championship on Thursday night. It's a match-up between top four teams in Class 2A-1 and Marlow hasn't lost a game this season. One thing that we've learned about Barrett over the last season and a half is that the sophomore always seems to show up in a big way when the lights are brightest. The district title will more than likely be on the line Thursday so that's a pretty big platform for the sophomore signal caller to show up and show out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1637567' first='Isaac' last='Woodard'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Edmond Memorial

Edmond Memorial goes on the road and will try to take down Owasso Thursday night. The Bulldogs will hope that junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1637567' first='Isaac' last='Woodard'] builds on the momentum that he started last week. Woodard had 17 catches for about 200 yards receiving in the first five games. He then came out last week in the win over Yukon and caught eight passes for 170 yards and a touchdown. It was without a doubt the breakout moment for Woodard this season and if he can continue that momentum, the Bulldogs are going to have a good shot to pull off the upset and if they do that, they could be looking at making a run towards the district title. Now, there are a lot of "ifs" in that last sentence. But Woodard is a player that needs to be talked about more. He's a dynamic playmaker, has good size and hands and last week was a good example of just how productive he can be on the football field. He's one of the better 6A-1 receivers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164601' first='Jett' last='Frankum'] - Sophomore Athlete - Plainview

We have been on the record a few times this week that we are completely sold on Plainview's sophomore class as this is a group on the rise and they are starting to make a significant impact on Friday nights. [player_tooltip player_id='1164601' first='Jett' last='Frankum'] is one of those 2028 prospects that is starting to shine and he's doing it in just about every way imaginable. So far this season, Frankum has impacted the offense, defense and special teams. He's a player that really stood out to us during one of our PRZ-Next middle school camps and he's only gotten better. Friday night's game with Heritage Hall will be the first time we see him under the Friday night lights since entering high school. If Frankum and the rest of this Plainview squad can pull off the win, they'll send shockwaves throughout the state. Heritage Hall hasn't lost a district game in over a decade and don't plan on starting this week. Frankum and the Indians will look to put a halt to that winning streak.

[player_tooltip player_id='572029' first='Keilan' last='Robinson'] - Senior Quarterback - Hooker

Hooker goes on the road to face Fairview in another A-1 top ten showdown after they beat Cashion last week. Leading the way in that win last week was senior [player_tooltip player_id='572029' first='Keilan' last='Robinson'] and he remains one of the more underrated prospects in the state's 2026 class. All Robinson has done for the last three and a half seasons is make big plays. And he's done it from just about any position on the field, with the exception of the line of scrimmage. Last week, in the win over Cashion, Robinson finished with over 200 yards on the ground and six touchdowns. He also made big plays on the defensive side of the ball. We've been writing about Robinson since he was a freshman and he continues to impress us. They handed Cashion their first loss last week and look to put a stranglehold on their district with another win this week. Robinson and the Bulldogs are incredibly hungry to make it back to Edmond and win the gold ball after back to back runner up finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='467410' first='Nehemiah' last='Kolone'] - Senior Defensive End - Stillwater

It's the game of the week in our opinion as Stillwater hosts Choctaw on Thursday night. Senior defensive end and BYU commit [player_tooltip player_id='467410' first='Nehemiah' last='Kolone'] leads a Stillwater defense that will look to shut down Choctaw and their very talented backfield. Kolone is another player that is a good example of what athletes can do when they are healthy. Last season, Kolone dealt with nagging injuries and it limited what he was able to do and his overall impact. This season, Kolone has no limitations and the production is showing it. Not only is Kolone one of the very best in the state at getting into the backfield, he also opens things up for Stillwater's very talented front seven. The Pioneers come at offenses in waves and play the game in a very aggressive way. It all starts with Kolone coming off the edge and causing absolute chaos. He's been one of the best edge defenders for a long time now and it's showing up on a weekly basis this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1709318' first='Randee' last='Goodeagle'] - Senior Running Back - Hominy

Hominy senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1709318' first='Randee' last='Goodeagle'] is another example of a player that should no longer be flying under the radar. He was a big reason why the Bucks were able to run away from district rival Woodland last week. He scored two second half touchdowns to help the Bucks beat defending champ Woodland 32-16. Now, Goodeagle and the Bucks look to put a stranglehold on the district title race by going on the road and taking down Fairland Thursday night. Goodeagle is a player that we really like in this Hominy offense. He's so consistent and can help them in the running game as well as in the passing game. Hominy utilizes him quite a bit in both areas of their offense. And with Hominy losing a big piece of their offense to a season-ending knee injury, it's going to be even more important for Goodeagle to play like a man possessed this season. We got our first glance at him doing just that last week in the win over Woodland.
