is another versatile standout from Plainview to keep an eye on moving forward. Frankum had a fantastic sophomore season and we cannot wait to see what he does for an encore in 2026. We first watched Frankum in person when he was in middle school. You could see flashes that there was a playmaker there and he has certainly lived up to the hype so far in high school. Frankum took a major step forward as a two-way weapon for Plainview during his sophomore season. Personally, we think that he still has room to grow and there is a lot of really good football in his future. There’s no doubt that Plainview has a few young names to be very excited about. Frankum is one that has proven to be incredibly productive.

got on our radar back in January at our last PRZ-Next camp in Oklahoma. Frankum was one of the top performers on the offensive side of the ball and specifically at running back. Fast forward just three months and Frankum was back and dominated the camp once again. This time, he walked away with MVP honors for the running back position. And just like we said back in January, Frankum is going to be an impact player when he gets to the high school level. It’s only a matter of when that happens for him. He brings a lot to the table as an overall playmaker and that playmaking was on full display this weekend.

Vision (8) Good feel for cutback lanes
Speed (7.5) Gets off line quick. Shows points of explosive movements. Needs to work on 3rd gears and up to become a homerun hitter.
Power (8) Lower pads when he needs to. Strong up top and down low.
Balance (8) Keeps nose over toes and controls movements well.
Ball Skills/Security (8.5) Amazing hands. Catches ball away from body like he has spider-mans gloves on.
BPA-Big Play Ability (7.5) Play maker for sure. Needs to be in the right system to consistently rip off big plays.
Love the name Jett and he plays like one. Solid athlete all around and will develop in a high school environment quicker than most.
Writer Michael Knight believes Jett will help Plainview contend for a State title in the near future.

turned heads. Frankum appears to be the next one up for Plainview as they plan on contending for state as soon as this fall. Frankum was outstanding in the various drills and then when they got into one on one competition, Frankum got separation from his opponent and did a good job of making the catch at the high point. The young Plainview standout has a good build already and similar to Johnson, he runs hard with the ball in his hands. We’re looking forward to seeing him with the pads on.
