struggled to get his footing during his junior season. First off, he was hurt to start the year and was completely limited with what he could do. So the production from sophomore to junior year is very misleading. But after watching Kolone in person during the spring, he looks a lot like the guy that we saw in 2023, terrorizing opposing offensive tackles. Kolone has a very unique blend of strength and athleticism to go along with a deep bag of moves to beat offensive tackles. If Kolone stays healthy in 2025, he’s going to be one of the more disruptive defensive ends in the state, regardless of the class.

has been a name in the 2026 class that we’ve been intrigued about since his freshman year. And Kolone hadn’t even had an impactful moment on the varsity level but you saw a player with good size, athleticism and a motor that never seemed to slow down. However, the start of the 2024 season saw Kolone having to watch the game from a different spot. An injury kept him sidelined for the start of his junior season but he more than made up for lost time. When Kolone was on the field, he was one of the more disruptive defensive ends in the state. Stillwater’s front seven can be a very aggressive bunch and Kolone leads the charge. His recruitment has steadily increased over the last 12 months.

continues to hover around the top ten overall rankings and comes in at #15 overall this time around. Kolone had his breakout moment last season and this came after having a lot of potential during his freshman season. He didn’t get much time on the varsity level as a freshman but we were high on him based on what we saw. And now that he’s had that breakout moment on varsity, he’s never looked back. He’s missed some time this season but when he’s been on the field, he’s incredibly tough to slow down coming off the edge. He has power, speed and a deep skill set to consistently beat his opponent in one on one situations. His recruitment is starting to really take off.

is on our shortlist of defenders in 6A-2 that can absolutely wreck a game. Kolone was on our radar as a freshman and then had his breakout moment last year as a sophomore. During the 2023 season, Kolone would finish with 73 tackles and a handful of sacks and tackles for loss. But now, as we look ahead to the 2024 season, we expect Kolone to emerge as one of the very best players in the class. He’s already enjoyed his recruitment taking off, earning multiple D1 offers in the spring and early part of summer. Kolone and the Stillwater front seven will be one of the best in the state, regardless of class.

was a freshman, we wrote that he was going to be a name to watch in this class even though he hadn’t cracked meaningful playing time on the varsity level. Fast forward to the latest ranking update and he’s a borderline top ten overall prospect and another defensive lineman that can absolutely take a game over. Kolone is a game-wrecker and it hasn’t really mattered where he lines up on the defensive line. He was a nightmare for opposing offensive linemen and that should only continue this season. When we caught Stillwater in person, Kolone was so disruptive as a sophomore. And this offseason, he’s seen his recruitment start to take off.

got on college radars. Kolone picked up his first offer from hometown Oklahoma State in the last month and that should be just the start of it for this disruptive playmaker. Kolone was very impressive when we saw him in person last season and it ended up being a breakout season for the sophomore. Kolone was a player that we had high hopes for heading into the 2023 season but he was still unproven on the varsity level. That’s no longer the case and he has the potential to be one of the top edge rushers in the state’s 2026 class by the time it’s all over.
