We mentioned earlier in the preview how Stillwater’s offensive line was going to be a big strength of this year’s team. Leading the way at center will be junior Paxton Pitchford Paxton Pitchford 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2027 State OK and he has the potential to be very good. Pitchford has lined up at multiple positions for the Pioneers and has quickly become their swiss army knife on the line of scrimmage. This spring, they were playing Pitchford at center and he seemed to fit in seamlessly with that position. Pitchford is another Pioneer that is on the radar of college coaches. He earned that attention despite being banged up during the 2024 season. He’ll set the tone for a Stillwater offense that could be the best in 6A-2.

Things are starting to take off for Stillwater offensive lineman Paxton Pitchford Paxton Pitchford 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2027 State OK as he recently picked up his first offer and it’s probably not going to slow down anytime soon. Stillwater has some serious talent in the younger classes and Pitchford is a big part of that with this 2027 group. We started watching him during his freshman year and he’s always really impressed us. And it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone considering Stillwater has just had a knack for producing big and strong offensive linemen that will inevitably end up at the next level. It looks like Pitchford is the next guy on that path for the Pioneers. Pitchford is definitely a name that we’ll be watching a little more closely, specifically in the spring as the Pioneers begin preparation for what could be a big 2025 campaign.

Stillwater’s Paxton Pitchford Paxton Pitchford 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2027 State OK is the only offensive lineman on this breakdown after making a leap up the ranks into the top five for his position and knocking on the door of the top 25 overall rankings. Pitchford has been working primarily at right guard this season and the midseason film was impressive. He showcased a variety of skills that we liked, including his pulling ability and overall run blocking. Pitchford has really good size for an interior offensive lineman at the next level. He has good size for any position along the offensive line for the high school level. He definitely is taking steps in the right direction and we’re looking forward to seeing the full body of work this year.

Stillwater offensive lineman Paxton Pitchford Paxton Pitchford 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2027 State OK might be the name we need to see more this season. Pitchford really impressed us back in January while he camped with us down in Texas. He went up against some strong competition and held his own. He was thought of as one of the top guys at his position that afternoon and we’re fired up to see what he can do this season. Stillwater’s offense has the potential to be an exciting one to watch. And the offensive line does have some strong talent coming back. And Stillwater plays a tough non-district schedule so if Pitchford gets some serious playing time, he’ll be going up against some really good competition.

Paxton stood out during the 1v1s against the defensive line, displaying a stout base with good footwork, his ability to get low with good leverage was a trait that stuck out in his game and he showed his strength when he locked on his opponent to gain control early at the point of attack. The 6’3 261 pound Pitchford showed flashes during the PRZ Stock Up Texas Showcase that he has the potential to be one the top linemen in his class in Oklahoma.
