has been on our radar since his breakout sophomore season. We thought that he was in position to emerge as the team’s leading receiver in 2024 and that’s how it played out. Daniels finished the year with 35 catches for over 700 yards and seven touchdowns. The senior standout also had 50 tackles on the defensive side of the ball. The production that Daniels had is even more impressive when you consider the fact that he had multiple quarterbacks throughout the year. It’s hard to get into that groove when QB1 is changing. This season, Daniels certainly has the potential of seeing that production go up.

One of the biggest losses to graduation is Hudson Henslick at the receiver position but they’ve already found his replacement. Junior

was a breakout player in the Collinsville offense and he has a very similar game to Henslick so the Cardinals will be able to just plug Daniels into that role this fall. Despite being somewhat inexperienced and just a sophomore, Daniels made some big plays in some of the biggest games of the season, including their first round win over Coweta on the road. It won’t be surprising if Daniels ends up leading the team in receiving this fall. He is absolutely electric with the football in his hands and is primed for a big year.

at the wide receiver position. And when you look at Collinsville, they have a massive threat in the passing game in Henslick and he towers over everyone else in every receiving category. But Daniels has been the second option and is second on the team in receptions, yards and touchdowns this season. He got his sophomore season off to a great start with a pair of touchdowns and we’re also impressed with one of his better games coming in their toughest game of the season against Bishop Kelley. Daniels is a prospect that we watched a little film of back in the spring but he was unproven at the varsity level. That’s not the case anymore.

spent his freshman season at Verdigris and while most of his action was at the JV level, he did receive quite a bit of playing time on varsity. Daniels is now at Collinsville as his dad accepted a coaching job with the Cardinals. Based on his film from last season, both JV and varsity action, a few things really stood out to us on the breakdown. First off, Daniels seems to have a knack for making big plays. Whether it’s turning a short pass into a long touchdown or simply beating his man in a one on one situation. Daniels has plenty of clips that end up with points going on the scoreboard. Obviously with a young prospect, we want to see more and specifically at the varsity level. But Daniels is off to a great start as a wide receiver that can also turn around and play defense. Another thing that really impressed us was his willingness to help the run game as a blocker. He’s incredibly physical at the point of attack and the strength showed up in blocking as well as shaking off would-be tacklers.
