Pallone’s 2025 Preseason All-OAA Offense

This is both a predictive "who will perform best this season?" article and a "who would I want on MY team" article. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's who I would select at every offensive position, and how each player may be utilized in my hypothetical offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Preseason All-OAA Offense</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB - [player_tooltip player_id='1317918' first='Alex' last='Waszczenko'] - Clarkston</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Already with a year of Varsity experience, faced an extremely difficult schedule, and will do so again this season. Alex's offseason tells me he's ready to be the best passer in the OAA. He's my QB1 in an All-OAA team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB - [player_tooltip player_id='566987' first='Ryland' last='Watters'] - Rochester Adams</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In my All-OAA team, Ryalnd is QB2, but would still earn significant reps. Put him in on short-yardage situations. A run threat, and if the defense creeps up too much, Ryland can throw it. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1615746' first='Bryan' last='Collins'] - Avondale</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Should take a step up as Avondale's 3-down back. My bellcow back on this hypothetical team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1615802' first='Jeremiah' last='Whitley'] - Groves</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Versatile threat. Can also be used on special teams. A no-brainer weapon to have on this offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR - [player_tooltip player_id='547739' first='Dakota' last='Guerrant'] - Harper Woods</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Obvious choice. Arguably the best receiver in Michigan. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1337884' first='Wendell' last='Childs Jr'] - Clarkston</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Even more speed added to this group. Love the idea of getting Childs the ball in space. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1669991' first='Deandre' last='Bidden'] - Harper Woods</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Again, arguably the best receiver in Michigan. Imagine Bidden and Guerrant on the same team! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1298608' first='Christian' last='Gillings'] - Farmington</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Transfer from Novi. Will make an immediate impact for Farmington. On this hypothetical team, I'm putting Gillings in the slot. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1529567' first='Cameron' last='Dawood'] - Rochester Adams</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dawood is able to do a lot here. Speed in space guy. Will be trusted in screen game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE - [player_tooltip player_id='1613771' first='Ryan' last='Rocheleau'] - Lake Orion</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The obvious pick for TE. Big-time mismatch. One of the best vertical threat TEs in Michigan. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1613561' first='Mattia' last='Andriano'] - Groves</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Extremely impressed with what I saw from Mattia last season. He'll absolutely be one of the best offensive linemen in the OAA. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL - [player_tooltip player_id='566988' first='Zack' last='Radlick'] - Clarkston</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of Clarkston's captains this season. Extremely well-earned. Dudes a workhorse, and would start at guard for this hypothetical team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1148703' first='Brody' last='Rummler'] - Stoney Creek</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Seems to have turned the corner this offseason. Has gotten bigger, stronger, more polished. Should have an incredible season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1613839' first='Hayden' last='Flavin'] - Clarkston</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>High-upside tackle. Basketball prowess absolutely helps with football. A natural athlete- far more balanced than most extremely tall players. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1524595' first='Liam' last='Samborski'] - Oxford</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another tackle with ideal size who is starting to put it all together. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1298755' first='Max' last='Kruger'] - Seaholm</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An absolute mauler. Would be comfortable with Max if he wanted to play running back. On this hypothetical team, I'm plugging him in at center. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
