Enjoy!

The 2024 football season is in the books and we've spent the month of January recapping a wild year in high school football. This week, it's All State week on Prep Redzone Oklahoma! Today, we unveil our All State 3rd Team selections. On Monday, we started the week off with our 1st Team picks. Yesterday, we continued with our All State 2nd Team selections and tomorrow, we'll finish it off with our All State Honorable Mentions breakdown. Finally, at the end of the week we'll recognize our Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year for 2024.

OFFENSE

QB - [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] - Junior - Sand Springs

Sand Springs junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] ascended to new heights in 2024. The Sandite signal caller became one of the state's top passers, racking up the stats. He'll be a four-year starter in 2025 and one of the unquestioned best quarterbacks in Oklahoma.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1084102' first='Justin' last='Palacios'] - Sophomore - Hooker

Hooker sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1084102' first='Justin' last='Palacios'] built off the momentum he had as a freshman with another dominant season running the ball. Palacios has now had back to back 1,000+ yard seasons and he has two more years to rack up the yards for the Bulldogs.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] - Senior - Muskogee

Muskogee senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] joined the Roughers in the offseason after three successful seasons at Bartlesville. Wallace lived up to all the preseason hype and was once again one of the top running backs in the state. He was one part of arguably the best backfield in Oklahoma.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='382955' first='Brady' last='Scott'] - Junior - Hilldale

Hilldale junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='382955' first='Brady' last='Scott'] needs to be mentioned more across the state as one of the top playmakers in Oklahoma. Scott put up monster numbers on the offensive side of the ball but he was another example of a player that impacted the game in all three phases.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='211560' first='CJ' last='Simon'] - Senior - Tuttle

Tuttle senior wide receiver and UTEP signee [player_tooltip player_id='211560' first='CJ' last='Simon'] moved to Tuttle in the summer and instantly became a major threat in Class 4A. Simon has been one of the top playmakers in the state and he was just that as he helped Tuttle make it to the 4A state title game.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='211559' first='JuJu' last='Smith'] - Senior - Choctaw

Choctaw senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='211559' first='JuJu' last='Smith'] has been a critical part of the success that Choctaw has had for the last three seasons. Whether it was as the team's leading receiver or a dangerous threat in the kick return game, Smith had a significant impact on the field.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='591882' first='Dawson' last='Matthews'] - Junior - Ada

Ada junior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='591882' first='Dawson' last='Matthews'] continues to see his stock pointing in a positive direction. Matthews really blew up as a sophomore and has just continued to get better from there. He's a big reason why Ada will be a major player in 2025.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1403591' first='DK' last='Kennedy'] - Senior - Woodland

Woodland senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1403591' first='DK' last='Kennedy'] capped off a successful career with an undefeated season and a state championship. Kennedy was a critical part to the success of Woodland on both sides of the ball and specifically on the line of scrimmage.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='851670' first='Javion' last='Antai'] - Senior - Jenks

Jenks senior offensive lineman and Tulsa signee [player_tooltip player_id='851670' first='Javion' last='Antai'] made the move in the summer from Nathan Hale to Jenks and he became one part of a very talented offensive line. He also helped pave the way for one of the best running backs in the state this season.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='211568' first='Jesse' last='Jones'] - Senior - Union

Union senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='211568' first='Jesse' last='Jones'] capped off his high school career as arguably the most versatile offensive lineman in the state. Jones would line up wherever Union needed him and he started and had success against 6A-1 competition since he was a freshman.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1525400' first='Jordan' last='Johnson'] - Senior - Millwood

Millwood senior lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1525400' first='Jordan' last='Johnson'] gets the nod for the offensive line but you could make a strong argument for either side of the line of scrimmage. Johnson was an incredibly consistent player over the last several years and he did it on both sides of the ball.

DEFENSE

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1331296' first='Hayden' last='Chaffey'] - Senior - Pocola

Pocola senior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1331296' first='Hayden' last='Chaffey'] was one of the state's best when it came to getting into the backfield and bringing down the opposing quarterback. Pocola might have had an explosive offense but they had some stars on defense as well.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1035134' first='Rain' last='Ragland'] - Sophomore - Lincoln Christian

Lincoln Christian sophomore defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1035134' first='Rain' last='Ragland'] broke out as a freshman in 2023 and truly became one of the state's best along the defensive line in 2024. He was one of the team's leaders on a Lincoln Christian front seven that was simply nasty.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1108523' first='Rhett' last='Nunley'] - Senior - Hooker

Hooker senior lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1108523' first='Rhett' last='Nunley'] is another player on this breakdown who could have ended up on either side of the ball. Nunley was an absolute monster to deal with for opponents and that came on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1607343' first='Tripp' last='Alexander'] - Junior - Putnam City

Putnam City junior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1607343' first='Tripp' last='Alexander'] is going into the offseason with a lot of momentum after a breakout junior season that saw him record double digit sacks. He's going to be a big name to know for the Pirates next season following a big 2024 campaign.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='479395' first='Braven' last='McConnell'] - Senior - Choctaw

Choctaw senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='479395' first='Braven' last='McConnell'] helped deliver Choctaw their first state championship since 1960. And McConnell has been a consistent force on the Yellowjacket defense for several years now and he capped off his career with the gold ball.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='571111' first='Cameron' last='Carter'] - Senior - Millwood

Millwood senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='571111' first='Cameron' last='Carter'] might have been the hardest hitter we watched in person throughout the 2024 season. Carter came into this year with high expectations and he capped off a very successful career by helping Millwood back to the state title game.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='867298' first='Mason' last='Torres'] - Senior - Lincoln Christian

Lincoln Christian senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='867298' first='Mason' last='Torres'] came into this season with a lot of confidence and he backed up all the preseason hype. Torres was another part of a Lincoln Christian front seven that was dominant from the start of the season to the end with another state title.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='403509' first='Adam' last='Auston'] - Junior - Lawton MacArthur

Lawton MacArthur junior safety [player_tooltip player_id='403509' first='Adam' last='Auston'] continues to be one of the state's top defensive backs. He is an absolute ball hawk in the secondary and he's just one part of a very talented junior class that the Highlanders have coming back in 2025.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1100200' first='Coric' last='Pierce'] - Senior - Blanchard

Blanchard senior [player_tooltip player_id='1100200' first='Coric' last='Pierce'] is another example of a player that could make this list in several different categories. Offense or defense, Pierce was one of the top playmakers on the team. He ended his junior season with a lot of momentum and it carried over into 2024.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='598829' first='D'Marion' last='Turner'] - Senior - Del City

Del City senior defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='598829' first='D'Marion' last='Turner'] was once again part of a very dominant Del City secondary. The Eagles were able to force turnovers at a high rate and Turner did a great job at the cornerback position. He set the bar high for future Del City DBs.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='595674' first='Lane' last='Whitworth'] - Senior - Piedmont

Piedmont senior [player_tooltip player_id='595674' first='Lane' last='Whitworth'] finished off a very successful high school career with a dominant senior season. Whitworth was a standout in the secondary for Piedmont and like several Piedmont defenders before, he would rack up the tackles in 2024.

KICKER/ALL PURPOSE

K - [player_tooltip player_id='1607338' first='Nathan' last='Dinwiddie'] - Senior - Christian Heritage

Christian Heritage senior kicker [player_tooltip player_id='1607338' first='Nathan' last='Dinwiddie'] ended up being a very big part of their successful 2024 season. Not only did Dinwiddie emerge as one of the top kickers in the state, but he also became one of the more clutch kickers in several big games this season.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='884992' first='Dawson' last='Fullingim'] - Senior - Lincoln Christian

Lincoln Christian senior [player_tooltip player_id='884992' first='Dawson' last='Fullingim'] was a player that you don't see come along very often. He was one of their top weapons on offense at running back and then helped lead a ferocious Lincoln front seven as a defensive lineman. You don't see a RB/DL combo every year.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1348269' first='Judson' last='Gilliland'] - Junior - Bethany

Bethany junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='1348269' first='Judson' last='Gilliland'] had a very successful 2024 season and he'll go into 2025 as one of the top playmakers to watch out for in Class 4A. He was absolutely dynamic as a running back and was also very productive on the defensive side of the ball.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='572029' first='Keilan' last='Robinson'] - Junior - Hooker

Hooker junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='572029' first='Keilan' last='Robinson'] continues to be one of the more underrated players in the state. Way out in the panhandle, don't forget about this player who can make things happen anywhere on offense and is one of the best ball hawks in the state on defense.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='605196' first='Kolten' last='Carlock'] - Senior - Guthrie

Guthrie senior [player_tooltip player_id='605196' first='Kolten' last='Carlock'] moved from Ada to Guthrie and it paid off as he helped the Blue Jays to the 5A state championship game. Carlock would become a very dynamic weapon for Guthrie in the run game and played a variety of positions in 2024.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] - Junior - Del City

Del City junior [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] elevated his game in 2024 as one of the top two-way players in the state. Holmes was known for being one of the better linebackers in the state's 2026 class and he's still just that. But as a junior, he also became a major threat in the run game.
