was arguably the top player for the Lions in last year’s state championship win over Wagoner. He was all over the place and was impactful on offense and on defense. Pierce caught a touchdown and had two big interceptions on the defensive side of the ball when scoring was coming at a premium. This spring, Pierce added more to his plate on offense, taking snaps at quarterback with the projected starter out with an injury. While it’s not expected for Pierce to be QB1 for the Lions this season, Blanchard having that option isn’t a bad one either. He obviously brings some athleticism and playmaking ability to the position.

in person, he was dominating both sides of the ball in the 4A state championship game. He was also fighting through cramps in the second half to finish the game. On Sunday, Pierce looked great and he was right there among the best wide receivers at the camp. Pierce ran very well during the testing portion of the camp. He would then showcase his crisp route running and sure hands during drills. Pierce did a great job of creating separation against the defensive backs he was going up against. He’s certainly a name on the rise in the 2025 class. The defending champion Lions aren’t going anywhere this fall. They bring back Pierce and the camp’s WR MVP in

has enjoyed a breakout season this fall for the Lions. He’s emerged as yet another target for Cooksey in the potent Blanchard passing game. He has nearly 800 yards receiving and leads the team in that category. He also has well over 60 tackles on the defensive side of the ball. So when we look at Thursday’s game with Wagoner, it’s hard not to imagine Pierce playing a vital role on either side of the ball or perhaps both. But when it comes to defense, Pierce and the Lions will look to slow down Wagoner’s passing attack that has reached new heights this fall.
