became a major name to know at the position during his sophomore season in the state championship game. Despite the loss, Carter was one of the best football players on the field. As a junior, Carter was once again a name to know at the linebacker position but he also emerged as a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. Carter would take the majority of the carries at running back when the Falcons were near the goal line. He became that short yardage specialist for Millwood and would score nine touchdowns on the ground. This season, Carter will join Keys in the backfield and they’ll make up a great 1-2 punch at running back.

has been a player on our radar since his performance in the 2022 state championship game. Last season, Carter elevated his game even more and became one of Millwood’s options at the running back position. But when it comes down to Carter as a prospect, he is your prototypical middle or inside linebacker that is devastating in the run game and can also help get after the passer. That part was made evident with his play in that state title game. Carter is a physical player that loves to hit and he does a good job of tracking a play and getting from point A to point B in a hurry. Look for Carter to have another very productive season this fall.

was one of the better players in the state last season. After having a breakout moment during his sophomore season in the state championship game, Carter turned into a two-way playmaker for the Falcons in 2023. In addition to being a game-wrecker on the defensive side of the ball, Carter also became a short yard specialist at running back. Carter is incredibly productive and should be a name to watch moving forward. Carter fits the mold as a middle linebacker prospect. As he continues to get faster but maintains that strength and hitting ability, we think that coaches should take note.

has been high on our radar since the 2022 state championship game. Carter was one of the best players on the field that day and his junior season only further established him as one of the best linebackers in Oklahoma. Carter is your prototypical middle linebacker. We’ve seen Carter in person and on film and he is one of the hardest hitting linebackers in the state. It’s like he’s a brick wall that is on the move on every snap. There’s not a single play on his film from junior season where he doesn’t drive through his opponent and ends up on top of them. He never gets moved backwards. Carter impressed us at the end of his sophomore season and appears to have taken the next step as a junior. His strength and power, as well as his ability to go through his opponent make him a very intriguing prospect to watch at the next level. During the 2023 season, Carter also spent some time on offense at running back. But seeing him in person and on film, it’s clear that he’s a linebacker that happens to play running back. Defense is still going to be the brighter future for the budding Millwood star. But as we start moving towards the spring and summer, if Carter continues to improve his lateral quickness and moving just as fast side to side, he’ll be scary in 2024.Access all of Prep Redzone

quite a bit since the end of last season. And probably every time we write about Carter, we’ve written about his impact in the state title game against Washington. Carter was without a doubt one of the best players on the field that day. He was consistently causing problems for the Washington offense and his stock jumped in a big way that day. This season, not only is Carter still one of the more disruptive players on the Millwood defense, he’s also turned around and been valuable on offense. He’s turned into the short yardage specialist for Millwood at running back and it’s paid off.

Millwood is another 2A program that is in a similar boat to Beggs. It seems like year after year, the Falcons are producing prospects that end up at the next level and they have a few in the 2025 class. Linebacker

is an absolute monster at the linebacker position and there isn’t much that separates Carter from Strother or many other defensive standouts. He’s another player that looks like a prototypical middle linebacker at the next level. And like Strother, there might be a ceiling on his potential because of his height but you throw on the tape and there shouldn’t be much of a concern. All you have to do is go back to the state championship game last season to see the impact he had throughout the game against Washington.

without talking about the first time we noticed him. Maybe one day we’ll not mention it but Carter’s breakout moment for us was in that title game against Washington. He was an absolute problem and on that day, he looked like one of the best linebackers in the state. It’s going to be very interesting to see how his recruitment and everything else take off when more colleges start to notice him. He is a physical player that finds a way to get into the backfield. We know the Millwood coaches are high on Carter and he’ll play a big role against OCS this week.
