Throughout the last month, we have been updating each class ranking and following up those updates with in-depth breakdowns on a ton of prospects in each class. We kicked things off with the 2028 Watchlist. Then we continued our updates with the 2027 class, featuring the Top 75 Sophomores In Oklahoma. We also took a look at the state's 2026 class with that latest ranking update featuring the Top 150 Juniors In Oklahoma. Now, we finish off the ranking update with the current senior class. Our 2025 rankings now features the Top 225 Seniors In Oklahoma. Following each ranking update, we put the spotlight on a ton of prospects at various positions. In this breakdown, we're putting that spotlight on the wide receiver position. These ten wide receivers all bring different talents to the table and have turned into dynamic playmakers for their respective teams.

Out of the ten prospects on this breakdown, Carl Albert's [player_tooltip player_id='294261' first='Trey' last='Washington'] is definitely the most unique weapon of the bunch. First off, he's been a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball since his freshman season. Carl Albert started playing him on defense as well during his sophomore year and he's turned himself into a dynamic defensive back. And the most underrated part of Washington's game is special teams. He's one of the best punters in the state but over the last two seasons, Carl Albert hasn't had to punt very much. But when it comes down to it, there is no doubt that Washington is an incredibly special talent and we like him on offense.

Idabel standout [player_tooltip player_id='479389' first='Matrail' last='Lopez'] might be right there with Washington as a guy that can impact the game in all three phases. Lopez is definitely an offensive weapon as he's become just as comfortable as a ball carrier as he is as a receiver. On defense, he's a ball hawk in the secondary and he's also a weapon in the return game. This offseason, Lopez emerged as one of the top playmakers in this class following a very special junior season. Oklahoma State saw him as that unique playmaker on the offensive side of the ball and offered him specifically at wide receiver. That's where Lopez wants to play at the next level and he committed to the Cowboys.

There is no doubt in our mind that Pocola wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='382643' first='Dakotah' last='Terrell'] is the most unique prospect in the state's 2025 class. Terrell stands at 6'8 and can absolutely fly in the open field but again, he's 6'8 and we just haven't seen very many 6'8 prospects have success as a pass catcher at the next level. But you throw on the film or see him in person and what he's able to do as a receiver and even as a kick returner is something that is incredibly unique. This offseason, Terrell emerged as one of the top overall prospects in the state's 2025 class. He was still considered as one of the top basketball prospects but eventually chose football and committed to Missouri.

When you watched Bixby wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1096189' first='Blake' last='Hogshooter'] during his junior season, you could see flashes of a player that could be the next playmaker to come out of this Bixby offense. And Hogshooter carried that momentum into the offseason where he performed incredibly well every single time we saw him in person. And from there, we had no doubt that the Bixby senior would be the top target in this Spartan passing attack this season and that's how it's played out. Hogshooter is an example of a prospect who put in the work and waited for his opportunity and took full advantage. In the last few weeks, the Bixby standout committed to Houston.

Edmond North wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='840303' first='Lehmantre' last='Olds'] is definitely a prospect that we could look back on this class and wonder how he didn't have more opportunities coming out of high school. Simply put, Olds checks a lot of the boxes when it comes to the wide receiver position. He first got on our radar last offseason when he was at a team camp with Star Spencer. This offseason, Olds moved over to Edmond North and we were definitely curious how he would respond to the step up in competition. He's definitely held his own in the state's largest class and continues to be a big receiver that is absolutely a match-up nightmare with most cornerbacks.

Edmond Memorial wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='353412' first='Billy' last='McDown'] was a player that we had circled before the season that had all signs pointing towards a monster senior season. First off, Edmond Memorial lost quite a bit of production from the wide receiver position and McDown was primed to become the top target in the Edmond Memorial offense. That's what's happened as he's a big play waiting to happen in this Edmond Memorial offense. Now, it should be noted that the Bulldogs have been running the ball at a much higher rate this season so McDown's opportunities have been limited. But he's definitely a prospect with a high upside and his best football still ahead of him.

When we look at the ten prospects on this breakdown, if we had to tag one as the most underrated of the bunch, it would probably be [player_tooltip player_id='1159460' first='Serri' last='Sheridan'] out of Lawton Eisenhower. Simply put, we don't understand why Sheridan is still flying under the radar with college coaches. Sheridan is one of the more consistent playmakers in the state's 2025 class and that didn't just happen this season. He's been that guy for Lawton Eisenhower for a while now. He was incredibly consistent and productive this offseason when we watched him at various 7v7 tournaments and he continued that momentum into the season with a terrific senior campaign.

All you have to do is throw on the tape from the second half of this season for [player_tooltip player_id='456293' first='Kayleb' last='Barnett'] out of Jenks and that should tell you all you need to know. Barnett moved to Jenks in the spring and had to sit the first few games of this season. And once he was eligible, it was somewhat of a slow start for Barnett as he got used to the offense and the offense got used to him. But once Barnett found his stride, he was impossible to contain in one on one situations. Barnett is a 100 meter dash state champion so he could say he's the fastest player in the state. He's not the biggest receiver in 6A-1 but when he gets the ball in the open field, he's not going to be caught.

Millwood wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='360157' first='Xzavier' last='Thompson'] is enjoying a special senior season where he has become the unquestioned top target in the Millwood passing game. Before, the wide receiver depth chart was pretty loaded at the top but despite that, Thompson still put up big numbers. This season, he's elevated his game once again and is an absolute nightmare to deal with in the open field. Similar to Barnett at Jenks, speed is the name of the game for Thompson. He isn't the biggest wide receiver on this breakdown but if he makes a catch and the defense doesn't have him contained, he's scoring. He's an incredibly dynamic player for Millwood.

Deer Creek has several pieces on the offensive side of the ball that make the Antlers one of the top offenses in Class 6A-1. Wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='894347' first='Mason' last='Smith'] is one of those guys and it seems crazy to have a player like Smith ranked where we have him but that's just the nature of this year's wide receiver group. It's incredibly deep and talented. Smith definitely belongs among the best of the best in this class and has been a steady producer over the last few seasons. He's a big target and it's easy to just assume that he's a taller possession receiver. But we've seen both in person and on film that he can beat guys with his speed if you aren't careful.
