might be right there with Washington as a guy that can impact the game in all three phases. Lopez is definitely an offensive weapon as he’s become just as comfortable as a ball carrier as he is as a receiver. On defense, he’s a ball hawk in the secondary and he’s also a weapon in the return game. This offseason, Lopez emerged as one of the top playmakers in this class following a very special junior season. Oklahoma State saw him as that unique playmaker on the offensive side of the ball and offered him specifically at wide receiver. That’s where Lopez wants to play at the next level and he committed to the Cowboys.

is going to be not only one of the best players in Class 3A this season, he’s going to be one of the best overall players in the state, regardless of class. The Oklahoma State commit is the complete player and it doesn’t matter where he’s lining up on the field. On offense, he’s a productive player as a wide receiver or running the ball. On defense, he’s a ball hawk in the secondary. And he’s also a threat to return kicks in special teams. Idabel opponents are going to have to know where Lopez is on the field at all times. He earned All State honors last fall and is a complete game changer. This year, he wants to leave no doubt that he’s one of Oklahoma’s best.

has been listed as an athlete in the last several ranking updates. But this offseason, Lopez committed to Oklahoma State shortly after receiving an offer from the Cowboys to play wide receiver at the next level. Don’t get us wrong, Lopez is still one of the better two-way players in Oklahoma and could play on either side. But he wants to play offense and certainly will be a playmaker at that wide receiver position. Lopez is a playmaker and we’ve seen him in person a handful of times during the last two offseasons while he played on the 7v7 circuit. He’s a special talent that is primed for a big 2024 season.

at the wide receiver position. Lopez had a breakout junior season and became one of the state’s top overall prospects. Earlier this offseason, Lopez received an offer to play wide receiver at OSU and he pulled the trigger on becoming a Cowboy shortly after that. This weekend in Tennessee, Lopez was one of the fastest wide receivers we got our eyes on. He is so smooth in his route running and that provides him the separation he needs to get open. He wasn’t the biggest receiver in attendance but he was right there at the top in terms of being open.

from Idabel. Shortly after receiving an offer from the Cowboys this year, Lopez went to Stillwater to visit and he would commit. Lopez is listed as an athlete because college coaches have been recruiting him as that. He’s a star at wide receiver and at safety and he could end up playing either side of the ball. But we spoke with him prior to his commitment to the Cowboys and he mentioned that OSU was offering him as a wide receiver and he was very interested in playing that position in college. Lopez has seen his recruitment absolutely explode in the last few months with his film making the rounds.
