[player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] - Athlete - Vian

Vian two-way player [player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] is someone to keep an eye on moving forward. Because let's face it, when you play for Vian and your last name is Wright, you're going to be a player to watch. During his freshman season, Wright saw the majority of his time on the defensive side of the ball. But he was also productive at times on offense. With the Wolverines losing a lot of firepower on the offensive side of the ball, don't be surprised if Wright becomes that next breakout star for Vian on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834678' first='Ben' last='Jolley'] - Quarterback - Community Christian

Community Christian quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1834678' first='Ben' last='Jolley'] is the first of several freshman signal callers to make this breakdown. Jolley came out slinging the ball all season and the numbers back that up. He threw for nearly 2,300 yards and 17 touchdowns while throwing an eye-popping 382 passes on the season. Arguably his best performance came in a week nine win over Comanche, when he threw for 472 yards and six touchdowns on 29-47 passing. He certainly had the green light to throw in 2025.

Brett Pursely - Defensive Back - Adair

Adair's Brett Pursley made one of the biggest plays in Adair's championship win over Vian. In a game dominated by senior standouts, it was Pursley that jumped a route in the end zone with no time left for the game-clinching interception. Pursley was one of the younger Warriors that had flown under the radar all season, until that moment. With the game on the line, it was Pursley that came up with the interception to clinch the title. He finished with three interceptions on the year from his safety position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679361' first='Brody' last='Merritt'] - Wide Receiver - Pocola

Pocola wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1679361' first='Brody' last='Merritt'] ended up being one of the top producing wide receivers in the state's freshman class, finishing the year with just over 600 yards. He finished with 35 catches and three touchdowns. His best performnace came in week six, when he had six catches for 144 yards. With Pocola having a three-year starter at QB in 2026, Merritt's production could explode. We're fired up to watch him in person at our upcoming Showcase Camp on January 25th.

[player_tooltip player_id='1829254' first='Brody' last='Smith'] - Quarterback - Regent Prep

Regent Prep quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1829254' first='Brody' last='Smith'] is another 2029 prospect that was on our radar coming into the 2025 season. He's the son of former TU quarterback Paul Smith and has already picked up a TU offer. Smith immediately backed up the hype when he stepped on the field in 2025. From the first game, Smith was lighting up defenses and putting up some big numbers. Regent Prep was incredibly young in 2025. Smith and the rest of the Rams are going to be fun to watch for a while.

[player_tooltip player_id='1833738' first='Cyrus' last='Johnson'] - Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Stillwater

Stillwater freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1833738' first='Cyrus' last='Johnson'] has all the makings of being a star in the state's 2029 class. We have him listed here as a wide receiver and a defensive back but when we watched Stillwater in person, he really impressed us at the cornerback position. And Johnson was matched up against some very quality competition and performed very well. We really like his game and we'll get another chance to see him in person at our camp next week. He's another '29 prospect that has a very high ceiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1939112' first='Da'Rai' last='Washington'] - Running Back/Linebacker - Ardmore

Ardmore freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1939112' first='Da'Rai' last='Washington'] was either at the top or at the very least near the top of the tackle charts for the 2029 class. Washington finished with 116 tackles from his linebacker position. He also saw time on the offensive side of the ball but he was definitely more valuable on defense. He ended up being he second-leading tackler on the Ardmore defense. And this Ardmore squad has a lot of players coming back for 2026 so they'll be a team to keep an eye on for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='1409130' first='Devin' last='Smith'] - Offensive Lineman - Broken Arrow

It's very early but the state's 2029 OL class has the chance to be incredibly special moving forward. Broken Arrow's [player_tooltip player_id='1409130' first='Devin' last='Smith'] was already on the radar coming into his freshman season after having a very successful offseason on the camp circuit. He already earned D1 offers before his freshman season began. Smith earned a starting role on a Broken Arrow offensive line that was solid all season. They also lose some big names to graduation so Smith could step into a bigger role in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1607998' first='Jamison' last='Mobley'] - Offensive Lineman - Jenks

Jenks offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1607998' first='Jamison' last='Mobley'] is another name that will be prominent in this class for the next three seasons. Mobley started for the Trojans from day one of his freshman season and he was on an OL unit that was incredibly talented. In 2025, they had one of the top OL prospects in the 2026, 2027 and with Mobley, the 2029 classes. Mobley has all the makings of being another elite OL prospect in this class. He also looks like someone who can move around the line and excel at any position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834732' first='Jayce' last='Kent'] - Running Back - Inola

Inola running back [player_tooltip player_id='1834732' first='Jayce' last='Kent'] might have been the most productive running backs in the freshman class during the 2025 season. From the start of the year, Kent established himself as a name to know. Late in the regular season, he exploded for over 200 yards and four touchdowns on just ten carries. He also impacted the game on the defensive side of the ball. He helped lead the Longhorns to the 3A quarterfinals. Kent is a player with a very bright future and we're looking forward to seeing him in person.

[player_tooltip player_id='1230346' first='Kruz' last='Delgado'] - Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Muskogee

Muskogee freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1230346' first='Kruz' last='Delgado'] made a significant impact on the defensive side of the ball for the Roughers in 2029. He finished the year with 40 tackles, nine PBU's and an interception on the defensive side of the ball. He saw limited time on offense but did finish with a touchdown reception. We saw Delgado in a handful of 7v7 tournaments when he was still in middle school and he was a terrific two-way athlete at that point. As he continues to develop, he'll have a chance to be one of the best in the state in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1562281' first='Louden' last='Gregory'] - Quarterback - Little Axe

Little Axe quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1562281' first='Louden' last='Gregory'] was another very productive signal caller in 2025. And it didn't take long for him to steal headlines. In his first career start, he threw for over 400 yards and five touchdowns on 14-19 passing. He helped lead Little Axe back to the playoffs and they finished with a 5-6 record. Overall, he threw for over 2,100 yards and 17 touchdowns. There were definitely some very noteworthy performances but that week zero performance was definitely at the top.

Tellas Weaver - Running Back - Lawton Eisenhower

Lawton Eisenhower running back Tellas Weaver was incredibly productive during his freshman season for the Eagles. While Lawton Ike struggled in the win-loss column, Weaver still had a solid freshman season. He was among the top rushers in the freshman class, finishing with nearly 800 yards and seven touchdowns. And there's no doubt that he finished his freshman campaign with momentum. Nearly 400 yards and all seven touchdowns came in the last three games.

Traber Jones - Quarterback - Dewar

Dewar quarterback Traber Jones is in the same category as Pursely from Adair. Jones ended up playing a very key role in Dewar's championship victory back in December as the Dragons went back to back as champs. They lost their star quarterback to a leg injury and Jones had to come in as a freshman and help lead them to victory. The pressure couldn't have been any higher than coming off the bench in a state championship game. But Jones performed well and should have momentum going into the offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1829041' first='Tucker' last='Hayes'] - Wide Receiver - Southmoore

Southmoore wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1829041' first='Tucker' last='Hayes'] is a 2029 name that we're keeping an eye on moving forward. Hayes was able to crack the starting lineup for the Sabercats as they made a run to the 6A-2 quarterfinals. Hayes has really good size already and based on the film, he looked comfortable on the outside or closer to the line of scrimmage in more of a hybrid tight end role. When you play meaningful minutes and produce at the 6A-1 or 6A-2 level, you're going to get attention and Hayes accomplished that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1830047' first='Wyatt' last='Cordray'] - Athlete - Carl Albert

Carl Albert has two freshmen that look like they could be consensus top ten prospects in the state's 2029 class from start to finish. [player_tooltip player_id='1830047' first='Wyatt' last='Cordray'] ended up seeing the field late in his freshman season and he immediately looked like he belonged. And think about that statement for a moment. Cordray got meaningful minutes for a team that won a fourth straight state title and has now won 50+ straight games. Cordray's ceiling is incredibly high and in 2025, he was just scratching the surface on what he'll be.

Zack Wilson - Tight End/Linebacker - Adair

The second Adair Warrior to crack this list is Zack Wilson for what he brought to the table on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he was a very reliable target in the passing game, specifically in the red zone. He simply knew how to get open and had very consistent hands. Defensively, Wilson also had a knack for getting into the backfield. He ended up being one of the team's leaders in sacks during he 2025 championship season. Simply put, he was a very good overall football player as a freshman.
