was a big reason the Longhorns came from out of nowhere to be a 3A quarterfinalist. Kent was one of the top freshmen in Oklahoma last season. He finished the year with just shy of 1,000 yards on the ground and he also had nearly 250 yards receiving. Overall, he had 18 touchdowns and also had over 40 tackles and three interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. In our opinion, Kent was one of the better playmakers in Class 3A last season. At this time last year, we didn’t know anything about him. That won’t be the case moving forward.

was without a doubt one of the more productive freshmen in the state last season. He was in the conversation for Freshman Of The Year and now we’re fired up to see what he does for an encore. Kent not only produced at a high level during his freshman season, he found a way to be a major player against some Inola’s toughest opponents. Kent wasn’t just stuffing the stat sheet against their easiest opponents. The last time Kent was on the field for the Longhorns, he was finding success in multiple ways against Heritage Hall. He helped lead the Longhorns to the quarterfinal round. Now, he looks to step into an expanded role this season.

made plenty of headlines during his freshman season as he helped lead the Longhorns to the 3A quarterfinals. That’s where Inola’s season came to an end but even facing a perennial power in Heritage Hall on the road didn’t slow Kent down. Not many opponents were able to slow down the breakout star for the Longhorns during the 2025 season. Kent is going to be a running back to watch over the next three seasons as he’s already proven he can produce at a high level, against solid competition on a week to week basis. Now, Kent is a running back that we’re very excited to see in person at some point this year. When you look around him as well, Inola has quite a few young players so the Longhorns could be in the mix for a while in an absolutely loaded Class 3A.
