Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma every day this week and throughout the season for the best coverage of Oklahoma high school football. This month, we're also doing an update to our prospect rankings. This week, we'll be putting the spotlight on the state's 2027 class. And we'll finish off the week by taking a look at the players to watch this week as well as our latest installment of the Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist! For now, here's a breakdown on this week's top games across Oklahoma!

*All Games This Week Are Scheduled For Thursday Unless Otherwise Noted.*

#4 COLCORD (6-0) AT #3 ADAIR (6-0)

This is the first of six games this week that feature top five teams squaring off. #3 Adair will host #4 Colcord in a district clash that could end up deciding the district championship. We said before the season that this district could be one of the more competitive ones in the state and so far through the first three games of district play, it certainly looks like it but these two could be the best of the bunch. Adair has a ton of momentum coming into this week after beating a top ten team in Kansas in convincing fashion last week. On the other side, you have Colcord that has won five of their six games this season by at least 20 points. Both teams have been dominant and both teams are state championship contenders this season. Because the district is so competitive, both teams will still have work to do moving forward but the winner will be in a good spot.

#9 CUSHING (5-1) AT #2 WAGONER (6-0)

This match-up has turned into one of the better rivalries in Class 4A over the last several years. #2 Wagoner will host #9 Cushing and it's a rematch of the 2022 state championship game classic and a rematch of last year's close call for the Bulldogs in the regular season. Wagoner has been their same dominant self this season with every game basically being decided by halftime. They are led by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='294262' first='Alex' last='Shieldnight'] and [player_tooltip player_id='530573' first='Kale' last='Charboneau'] and that duo is one of the best in Class 4A. On the other side, you have a Cushing team that has reloaded this season and has been playing some very good football. They bounced back last week following a road loss to Grove by beating up on Oologah. But there is no doubt that when it comes to this district and Class 4A to a certain extent, the road goes through Wagoner so Friday will bring an all time challenge for the Tigers.

#5 DEER CREEK (6-0) AT #4 JENKS (3-3)

It's the game of the week in Class 6A-1 as #4 Jenks will host #5 Deer Creek and this is a Deer Creek team that is undefeated on the season. The Trojans have won their last two games following a 1-3 start but this is another monster challenge, specifically for the Jenks defense. Deer Creek is led by star quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='242231' first='Grady' last='Adamson'] and he's making a strong case that he's the best quarterback in the state this season. He has weapons around him and leads an offense that's hard to stop. But speaking of hard to stop, Jenks counters with an offense that looked like a well oiled machine last week in the win over Mustang. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] ran for over 200 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone. He'll look to pick up where he left off against Deer Creek on Thursday night. The winner of this game will stay in a good spot in the district standings while the loser will have a tough path to Edmond.

#1 FAIRVIEW (6-0) AT #2 HOOKER (5-1)

There are a lot of good games this week but in our opinion, this one is the best and it takes place way out in the panhandle of Oklahoma. It doesn't get better than #1 facing off with #2 and a rematch of last year's state championship game. #1 Fairview goes on the road to face #2 Hooker and the Yellowjackets will look to extend their 36-game winning streak and beat Hooker for the third time in the last 13 months. Fairview is led by senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='379243' first='Jax' last='Bernard'] and he made history last week, becoming the latest Oklahoma HS quarterback to go over 10,000 yards for his career. The Yellowjackets will be facing a Hooker team that is incredibly balanced offensively and they have a lot of firepower on that side of the ball. Fairview has been tested a handful of times this season but this one could be the toughest to date. These two have been #1 and #2 since June so it wouldn't surprise us if this is the first of two meetings.

#6 HARTSHORNE (6-0) AT #3 REJOICE CHRISTIAN (5-1)

A month ago this Class A-1 match-up wasn't on our radar but it certainly is now as #3 Rejoice Christian will host a Hartshorne team that is undefeated and has climbed all the way up to #6 in the latest Class A-1 rankings. Hartshorne has been absolutely dominant so far this season but this also begins the toughest two weeks of the year for the Miners. They go on the road to play Rejoice Christian this week and then go back on the road next week to face Pocola. Hartshorne has won all but one of their games by at least 30 points but Friday brings the toughest test of the year. They'll face a Rejoice Christian team that is starting to really click and a team that has been challenged a lot this season and they've been able to pass each test with flying colors. Like we said at the beginning, this wasn't exactly a game on our radar but we're fired up to see what happens here on Thursday.

#2 HERITAGE HALL (5-1) AT #4 PLAINVIEW (6-0)

It's without a doubt the game of the week in Class 3A as #4 Plainview looks to remain unbeaten on the season when they host #2 Heritage Hall. These are the top two teams in the district standings and that district title could very well be on the line here. Heritage Hall has won five straight games after losing the season opener to top-ranked Lincoln Christian. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='434307' first='Barrett' last='Travis'] is coming off arguably his best performance on offense in their 46-23 win over Kingfisher last week. On the other side of the match-up, you have a Plainview team that is incredibly hungry to get back into the playoff mix and much more and it's shown. The Indians are 6-0 on the season and they won an overtime classic with Pauls Valley earlier this month. Now, they look to take down a Heritage Hall team that has not lost a district game in a very long time. They'll try to make some history on Thursday night.

#6 MARLOW (5-1) AT #1 WASHINGTON (6-0)

The storylines in this game pretty much write themselves but we'll get into them now as #1 Washington hosts #6 Marlow in a Class 2A-1 showdown. This is a rematch of the 2021 state championship game and that was a game won by the Outlaws. Why is that significant three years later? That was the last time Washington lost a football game. 36 consecutive wins later and the Warriors are looking to add to that streak and take a stranglehold lead in the district standings. The Outlaws could provide the greatest resistance to another Washington win and another district championship. The Outlaws dropped their season opener to 3A's North Rock Creek but they've won their last five games. The Warriors have been rolling and their offense has weapons all over the place. Led by Ohio State commit [player_tooltip player_id='353411' first='Nate' last='Roberts'] at tight end, the Warriors are going to be an incredibly tough team to beat this season.

#1 OWASSO (6-0) AT #6 EDMOND MEMORIAL (5-1)

In another 6A-1 showdown, top-ranked Owasso goes on the road and looks to remain perfect on the season when they face off with #6 Edmond Memorial. And we use the word "perfect" on purpose because that's what the Rams have been this season. They've won every game in dominant fashion this season. And this is a very intriguing quarterback match-up. On one side, you have Edmond Memorial with senior quarterback and Kansas commit [player_tooltip player_id='209872' first='David' last='McComb'] and he's been one of the best quarterbacks in Oklahoma for three years now. Owasso will counter with sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1235926' first='Drew' last='Frankenfield'] and he has simply not looked like a sophomore that's starting for the first time at any point this season. The Rams have plenty of firepower around Frankenfield as well but the Bulldogs are playing some really good football right now. They'll look to provide Owasso with their closest game to date.

#2 STILLWATER (5-1) AT #3 CHOCTAW (4-2)

This is a heavyweight match-up in Class 6A-2 and definitely has that "big fight feel" to it coming into this week. #2 Stillwater goes on the road to face #3 Choctaw in a week seven game that will all but guarantee the district championship to the winner. It's also a rematch of the 2022 6A-2 state championship game and both teams have state championship aspirations again this year. Choctaw's offense has been absolutely rolling over the last several weeks. They've won three straight and the offense has been incredibly explosive. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211555' first='Cash' last='Williams'] leads a balanced attack on that side of the ball but this is a game that features two offenses that can light up the scoreboard. Stillwater senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='655747' first='Mason' last='Schubert'] has led the Pioneers to a hot start and we could end up seeing a high-scoring game on Thursday night. Regardless of the final score, the winner is going to have a ton of momentum.

#5 WEATHERFORD (5-1) AT #1 ELGIN (6-0)

It's the game of the week in Class 4A as top-ranked Elgin will host #5 Weatherford in a match-up that features some legitimate star power on both sides. Oklahoma commit [player_tooltip player_id='353421' first='CJ' last='Nickson'] leads the way for Weatherford while Elgin is headlined by Tennessee commit [player_tooltip player_id='629029' first='Antoni' last='Kade Ogumoro'] and several other players on that offensive side of the ball. The Owls have been absolutely dominant this season. They've won all six of their games by at least 20 points but Weatherford could bring the toughest challenge in district play. Right now, it looks like Class 4A is a 4-team race between Elgin, Wagoner, Tuttle and defending champ Blanchard. If Weatherford wants to get into that discussion, it starts this week when they try to take down Elgin on the road. Thursday night's game is definitely going to bring a challenge for the Eagles and for Elgin, they want to take another step towards truly contending for the state title.

FIVE MORE GAMES TO WATCH

#8 BRISTOW (4-2) AT #3 SULPHUR (5-1)

A lot of attention in Class 3A will be on that Heritage Hall-Plainview clash but don't overlook this one. #8 Bristow goes on the road to face #3 Sulphur and both offenses are really starting to pick up some steam in the second half of the regular season. Bristow has won three straight after a 1-2 start against a tough non-district schedule. And Sulphur has been one of the top teams in 3A from the start with their only loss coming to Washington in double overtime.

#4 COLLINSVILLE (5-1) AT #9 CLAREMORE (5-1)

This district in Class 5A could be absolute chaos by the time November rolls around so every game is going to be critically important. Claremore looks to bounce back following a surprising loss to Pryor last week. But it's going to be a tall task as they have a Collinsville team that is getting back to full strength and looking like a top five overall team in the class. When the Cardinals are at full strength, they could be state championship contenders.

#10 HENRYETTA (5-1) AT #1 VIAN (6-0)

2A-2's top-ranked Vian has been the the team to beat in this class since July. And so far through six games, nothing has changed. The Wolverines have been absolutely dominant so far this season and have not been challenged in district play. Henryetta looks to change that as they are starting to pick up some momentum. They had an early loss to Beggs but continue to win games, including last week's one-point win over Valliant. Henryetta is up next to try and slow down Vian.

#7 NORMAN (5-1) AT #8 MOORE (4-2)

#7 Norman goes on the road to face #8 Moore in a game that could provide the difference between a home playoff game or going on the road. This district is absolutely stacked so every win in district play is going to carry a lot of weight. The Lions are looking to snap a two-game skid after starting the season with a 4-0 record. Norman bounced back from their first loss in week five by beating up on Enid last week. Both teams bring in very balanced offenses.

#6 THOMAS (5-1) AT #5 TEXHOMA (5-1)

In Class A-2, the game of the week is here as #5 Texhoma will host #6 Thomas and these are two teams that come into this game with different versions of momentum. Thomas is looking to avoid dropping two straight district games after falling to Apache in an unexpected loss last week. Texhoma is 5-1 and the only loss came to a Texas program so they look like another team in this district that could end up challenging for the district crown.
