has been one of the state’s best overall athletes for several years now. In the latest ranking update, we finally moved Nickson to the position he’s most likely to play at the next level and that’s on defense on the line of scrimmage. Don’t overlook his playmaking ability on offense. But Nickson is probably more known around Oklahoma for his abilities on the basketball court. He’s one of the state’s best basketball prospects and has had legitimate D1 offers and helped the Eagles win a lot of games. But following his sophomore season, it became apparent that his ceiling as an overall prospect might be higher on the gridiron. There’s no doubt that he’s one of the best athletes in the state, regardless of class.

returns for his final season and there is no doubt that the Oklahoma commit has been one of the best two-sport athletes in the state over the last several years. Nickson first broke out on the basketball court, helping Weatherford’s basketball team to the state championship and emerging as a legitimate D1 guy. Following his sophomore year, he also emerged as not only a legitimate D1 guy in football, but an elite prospect in the state’s 2025 class. This summer, Nickson announced his commitment to Oklahoma and we’re fired up to see what he does for his senior season. Whether it’s at wide receiver or coming off the edge on defense, Nickson has the tools to be elite.

is another very intriguing prospect in the state’s 2025 class. First off, similar to Nickens, he’s a terrific basketball prospect and could end up at the next level on the hardwood. But Nickson has also emerged in the last 18 months as one of the state’s top football prospects. He is very fun to watch on both sides of the ball. In the recent weeks, Nickson has announced that his college decision is coming soon and he’s down to the two in-state programs Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Basketball will also play a role in that decision but Nickson is definitely one of the top football prospects in this state with the athleticism and versatility he brings.

is without a doubt the most intriguing prospect to watch over the next 12 months. As we write this, Nickson is focusing all of his attention on helping lead Weatherford back to the state tournament in basketball. The Weatherford star is one of the top basketball prospects in the state and there’s no doubt after talking with others about his game that he has a love for hoops. But the ceiling for him as a prospect could inevitably be higher on the football field. He is being recruited by every elite program in the country. Whether they see him on offense or defense is up for debate but there is no debate that he belongs at the next level and a high level at that. His recruitment is going to be one to follow.

might be the best all around athlete in Class 4A and in the state all together. Nickson is one of the top football prospects in the state’s 2025 class but he also happens to be one of the state’s best prospects on the basketball floor as well. He has D1 offers to play both sports and is a star in the making out in western Oklahoma. On the football field, Nickson is a match-up nightmare at wide receiver because he’s 6’4 and can go up and get just about anything thrown his way. He also turns around and plays defense, coming off the edge and causing problems.

is without a doubt the most intriguing prospect of the bunch. Because based on football alone, Nickson is right there with just about anyone in the class. The ceiling is incredibly high and he’s being recruited by some of the top college programs in the country. But, Nickson is also arguably the best basketball prospect in the state’s 2025 class and there is no doubt that he loves hoops and he also has next level opportunities on the hardwood. While we think that Nickson is a better football prospect, it won’t surprise us if he ends up playing college basketball. Either way, he is a very fun athlete to watch, no matter what sport he’s playing.
