We're through the first three weeks of the high school football season in West Virginia and prospects are beginning to post their First 3 games highlight videos that colleges will be searching for and evaluating for who moves up, down, and added to their recruiting board. Here are the quarterbacks who have been performing strongly through the first three weeks of the season and should be seeing an uptick in their college interest.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">TRENDING UP</h2>    2025 Spring Valley quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1171873' first='Liam' last='McGuire'] is having the start to his senior season that we expected and predicted for him after splitting time last season as a junior. The Timberwolves have opened off the offense this season and McGuire is benefitting from a more spread system than in years past at the historically heavy run program. He has the weapons around him to spread the ball around, and McGuire has done a nice job utilizing his cast of talented receivers during the first three weeks of the season.   He's operating and leading the offense at a high level which has seen Spring Valley average 46 points per game in the first three games. McGuire has proven he can stretch the field vertically and from sideline to sideline with the arm talent and strength to spray the ball all over the field from various platforms and arm angles.      2025 Clay County QB [player_tooltip player_id='832676' first='Noah' last='Collins'] is off to a blistering start for the Panthers this season and has continued the great momentum he built during his junior season. Collins has already thrown for 762 yards and 11 touchdowns in three games and has his team at the top of Class AA during the early portion of this young season. He's a tremendous athlete who makes it nearly impossible to take him off the field and has also made a big impact on defense and special teams. Collins just wrapped up a huge performance against the current #1 rated Class AA team in the state in Roane County where he threw for 353 yards and 5 touchdowns with another 154 yards coming on the ground and a 6th score in the narrow 47-46 defeat.   Collins has made great strides in his mechanics and development as a passer since his younger years and has worked himself into being a serious quarterback prospect for his senior year. Every D2 program in the state should be targeting him heavily.      Another 2025 quarterback who has been lighting up the scoreboard during the first three weeks of the season is Westside's Kaiden Vance. The record-setting passer has the Renegades 3-0 for the first time since 2014 when his head coach was setting all of the records that he is now breaking. Vance is a big and impressive athlete who has gotten it done through the air and on the ground this season as a physically imposing dual-threat. The multi-year starter is thriving in the Renegades' system that has been built around him and has his team in a position to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015.   Vance is a well-rounded athlete with the speed to run past you and the power to run through you. He also has the arm strength to beat defenses over the top when they get sucked in by the Westside running game.      2026 Greenbrier East quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1052776' first='Brody' last='Hamric'] is coming off an impressive showing against Bluefield in week three where he passed for 336 yards and 5 touchdowns narrowly missing out on the school record for yards. Hamric has shown good mobility this season, and although may not be classified as a true dual-threat QB, he certainly has the athleticism to scramble and extend plays with pocket ecaping ability. He's a good improviser from the pocket and can make unconventional plays when under duress. Hamric gets the ball out quickly with a quick release and operates the Spartans' system well when in rythym.   Even with a tough setback in week two for his team as whole, Hamric has been a notable quarterback through the early portion of this season and a name to add to college recruiting boards for the 2026 class.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/brody_hamric/status/1835036393682165996 </div></figure>     2026 Doddridge County quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='867726' first='Brysen' last='Dixon'] has clearly taken a step forward this season in year two as the Bulldogs' starter. He showed flashes of quality play and flashes of being a first-year starter in 2023 but is off to a very good start in 2024 throwing for 477 yards and 8 touchdowns to just 1 interception. Dixon looks much more comfortable this season compared to last and is operating the offense more fluidly and with better poise. That was apparent in week two in a big matchup with the #1 team in Class A Wahama where Dixon performed his best this season thus far.   Size aside, Dixon is playing like a Top 10 QB in the 2026 class and is proving our high regard for him as a passer in that class.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">UNRANKED MAKING NOISE</h2>    The Ripley Vikings have started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2009 and unranked 2025 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='907155' first='Tyson' last='Pritt'] is off to a strong start this season and a big reason why. The Ripley program saw a lot of changes this off-season with a move to the new Class AAA and a new leader on the sidelines and Pritt is a beneficiary of those moves. The offense has opened up more this year, and Pritt has been able to showcase his arm talent more compared to last season. You could see flashes of what he's capable of as a junior in a more run-focused system, but Pritt is looking the best he's ever been through three games in his senior year.   He's doing so as a runner and a passer and has shown he has the athleticism to execute some option plays and hurt defenses with his legs too. Pritt is an accurate passer who can do so from the pocket or on the run. His mechanics are smooth and he delivers a pretty ball with good placement.      The Hampshire Trojans are off to a good start in 2024 and trending in the right direction under a new head coach and 2026 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1227642' first='Landon' last='Eversole'] is a big reason why. He's made consistent improvements in his game since his sophomore year and has completed 38/65 passes for 692 yards and 9 touchdowns through the first three games.   Eversole is executing well in the Trojans' RPO offense and has shown good accuracy while throwing on the run. He's also done a nice job stepping up in the pocket and delivering strikes while keeping his eyes down the field. Eversole is throwing with good touch on his passes and hitting his receivers in stride with the ability to loft the ball over defenders' heads. Although he hasn't shown it as much this season, Eversole is a good athlete who can hurt defenses in his legs and we expect to see more film of that aspect of his game as the season goes on.   <a href="https://x.com/L18Eversole/status/1835445411491770612">Film Link</a>     We've been anxious to see some extended film from 2027 Woodrow Wilson quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='897526' first='Gage' last='Price'] and we're getting that this season as he was thrust into a starting role as a sophomore with the incumbent starter transferring out. He saw some limited action as a freshman but is now commanding their Wing-T offense in year two of his high school career and is doing some good things through the first three weeks. Price is coming off the best performance of his young career in a loss to Parkersburg South where he completed 20/31 passes for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns in an offense centered around the running game.   Price is beginning to settle into his expanded role as the season moves forward and will continue to get better with the more confidence that he builds.      2028 Madonna quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='892650' first='Maddox' last='Bowen'] is a young passer that you need to tuck away and keep tabs on over the next few years as he's started his freshman season out strong for the Blue Dons. His best football is way ahead of him, but Bowen is producing and executing well for his age and has his team 2-0 with a pair of quality performances. In two games, Bowen has completed 18/32 passes for just under 400 yards and 5 touchdowns with just 1 interception.   He's played with courage and hasn't shown any reluctance in running the offense as a young and undersized quarterback to date and will continue to get better as the season progresses and beyond. Bowen had some hype coming into his first year of high school from his middle school days and so far has backed that up in year one.
