He may not be as polished as some of the other quarterback in our rankings, but the production isn’t a fluke and there’s plenty of raw talent here for D2 programs to work with as he continues flying under college radars.

Collins and the Panthers’ spread offense attempted 42 passes in the narrow defeat as he finishes his senior year with 3,386 yards and 44 touchdowns as one of the top passers in West Virginia again this season statistically. His recruitment remains quiet and is a must-offer for D2 programs in the state with more room to continue growing as a quarterback.

Collins has already thrown for 762 yards and 11 touchdowns in three games and has his team at the top of Class AA during the early portion of this young season. He’s a tremendous athlete who makes it nearly impossible to take him off the field and has also made a big impact on defense and special teams. Collins just wrapped up a huge performance against the current #1 rated Class AA team in the state in Roane County where he threw for 353 yards and 5 touchdowns with another 154 yards coming on the ground and a 6th score in the narrow 47-46 defeat.

Collins has made great strides in his mechanics and development as a passer since his younger years and has worked himself into being a serious quarterback prospect for his senior year. Every D2 program in the state should be targeting him heavily.

He’s one of the most underrated and under-the-radar players in the state whose recruitment should begin to pick up after a very strong junior season and a great start to his senior year.
