They’ll go as far as he takes them, especially if he takes a step forward as a passer. We like Hamric as an ATH prospect right now as a long and athletic prospect who could likely play receiver at a high level in college after some development. He’s also a basketball star for the Spartans, where he could also play in college, but his football ceiling is also high as an athlete.

Hamric has shown good mobility this season, and although may not be classified as a true dual-threat QB, he certainly has the athleticism to scramble and extend plays with pocket ecaping ability. He’s a good improviser from the pocket and can make unconventional plays when under duress. Hamric gets the ball out quickly with a quick release and operates the Spartans’ system well when in rythym.

Even with a tough setback in week two for his team as whole, Hamric has been a notable quarterback through the early portion of this season and a name to add to college recruiting boards for the 2026 class.

Hamric tossed three touchdown passes and reached 150 passing yards on the night but looked just as smooth as a runner. Hamric showed great pocket mobility and operated their RPO offense well which seems to be suited well for his skillset. Although his rushing numbers weren’t eye-popping, from watching his game film you could see he has some juice when he wants to take off and could have some big rushing numbers in future weeks. Hamric further showcased his athleticism on a halfback toss throwback trick play down the sideline for 54 yards while impacting the game in a number of ways.
