Ripley QB and Roanoke (VA) commit Tyson Pritt Tyson Pritt 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Ripley | 2025 State WV is another athletic quarterback who had his best season as a senior and trended upward this year. Pritt still hasn’t neared his ceiling as a quarterback having developed only one season under new head coach Ryan Simon which paid dividends for his development. He threw for 1,200 yards and 6 touchdowns this season while adding 300 yards and 6 scores on the ground. Pritt is an underrated athlete and shows true dual-threat capabilities this season while having the arm to stretch the field vertically at times. The potential and upside are there for a D3 program to benefit from his services after a couple of years developing in their program.

The Ripley Vikings have started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2009 and unranked 2025 quarterback Tyson Pritt Tyson Pritt 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Ripley | 2025 State WV is off to a strong start this season and a big reason why. The Ripley program saw a lot of changes this off-season with a move to the new Class AAA and a new leader on the sidelines and Pritt is a beneficiary of those moves. The offense has opened up more this year, and Pritt has been able to showcase his arm talent more compared to last season. You could see flashes of what he’s capable of as a junior in a more run-focused system, but Pritt is looking the best he’s ever been through three games in his senior year.

He’s doing so as a runner and a passer and has shown he has the athleticism to execute some option plays and hurt defenses with his legs too. Pritt is an accurate passer who can do so from the pocket or on the run. His mechanics are smooth and he delivers a pretty ball with good placement.

The Vikings rely heavily on their rushing attack, so Pritt’s passing opportunities were limited during his junior campaign. Can he prove that his modest stats don’t tell the full story of his abilities and prove that he has the arm talent to play quarterback at the next level? An event like this could open eyes for him and is a great opportunity for under-the-radar prospects like Pritt who just need the stage to showcase what he can really do.

The Ripley Vikings aren’t known for their passing game but junior quarterback Tyson Pritt Tyson Pritt 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Ripley | 2025 State WV flashed at times for them this season. His stats aren’t going to wow you but when watching his film, there are traits to work with in the right system. First and foremost, he’s an athletic option at the QB position paired with quality 6’0 190 size. Pritt has the ability to escape the pocket and make plays with his legs or throw on the run. He’s a touch passer who’s at his best inside of 20 yards and can throw accurately on intermediate passes over the middle or to the sideline. Pritt did flash the ability to lob passes over the top of defenses at times, and that’s an area that he can take a step forward in. The drop in classification to the new Class AAA should greatly benefit the Ripley program moving forward and could result in more success for Pritt and the team.
