RETURNING STANDOUT
Ripley’s offensive line will be anchored by 2027 OL Ian King, who enters his senior season as one of the more underrated linemen in West Virginia. A physical blocker with a 6’3 290 frame, King consistently creates movement at the point of attack and plays through the whistle with a finishing mentality. He also moves well for his size, giving the Vikings an athletic presence up front who can climb to the second level and make plays in space. With his blend of size, strength, and mobility, King is a player who deserves more of a spotlight as a senior.
2027 Ripley OL Ian King earns a spot in the rankings as one of the more underrated offensive linemen in the class. King possesses the size that college coaches look for when evaluating offensive line prospects at 6’3 290. He brings a physical presence up front and has the frame to continue developing as he heads into his senior season. While he may not receive the same attention as some of the higher-profile linemen around the state, the tools are there to attract college interest. Expect D2 and D3 programs to take a closer look this fall as they continue evaluating offensive line talent in the 2027 class.

looks the part the moment you turn the film on. At 6’3, 290, King has the kind of frame that’s going to catch a college coach’s eye right away, but it’s not just size with him. King plays with real strength and finishes blocks with intent, and you’ll see it show up over and over with pancakes on tape. He’s a people mover who brings power at the point of attack, and King uses strong hands to control defenders once he’s engaged. What makes him even more interesting is how well he moves for his size. King has solid feet, can climb to the second level when asked, and doesn’t look stiff doing it. There’s real value here in an unranked prospect, and King feels like a player who could start getting more attention quickly this season.

. He does a nice job in the Vikings’ running game behind his 6’3 290 frame and can plow open running lanes. King is a strong athlete capable of getting consistent push if he maintains his leverage and technique. He coud earn some D2 offers if he can get his film out to those programs and would be a steal at the D3 level.
