Week 1 Stars of the State – Offensive Edition

Trey really showed great touch on the deep ball especially. <br><br>[player_tooltip player_id='945238' first='Tyran' last='Evans'] – WR – Hough – 175 Receiving Yards and 2 Touchdowns vs. Northwestern - Tyran has been a highly recruited Class of 2026 prospect, and he looked like a bonafide Division 1 prospect, repeatedly torching cornerbacks who attempted to guard him in single coverage 1 on 1 for the majority of the game. <br><br>[player_tooltip player_id='1531332' first='Taeshon' last='Martin'] – RB – Mt. Most importantly, he and his QB [player_tooltip player_id='989278' first='Khalel' last='Wright'] have helped the Buccaneers to a 2-0 start to the season. <br><br>[player_tooltip player_id='892288' first='Perry' last='Justice'] – QB – Mallard Creek – 2 Rushing TDs in Comeback Victory over Prince Ave (GA) - Perry came into the game as a dual-threat quarterback and his running ability helped change the game in the second half and lead the Mavericks to a big win over a perennial powerhouse on the road in South Carolina for Week 1. <br><br>[player_tooltip player_id='1257011' first='Andrew' last='Wright'] – OL – South Point - Old School 4 Point Stance Drive Blocking In Victory - Andrew came off the football exceptionally well in the Red Raiders triple option offensive attack out of a four-point stance, driving defensive linemen and linebackers several yards downfield on multiple occasions from his Right Guard position. <br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
