Most recruiting services have Harris listed as a defensive tackle (Obviously we do as well) but I wonder if he can contribute early as an edge rusher. His get-off is excellent and he has the length and quickness to compete there. He flashes raw power, but is more of a speed move guy as a pass-rusher, though there’s nothing in his profile to indicate that he can’t do both at the next level.
I am not sure what else can be said about the dominant defensive line prospect that hasn’t been said already. Aiden has elite strength and athleticism and a get off that is one of the best in his class in the nation. His hand usage to shed blocks after the snap is hard to defend, and he knows how to get to the quarterback in obvious pass rushing situations. Aiden has offers from just about every notable Power 4 school in the nation, and whoever gets him will definitely have a big prize in the 2026 class.
Aiden continues to be a highly regarded player by just about every Power 4 school in the United States. Aiden has visited Oregon, Auburn, NC State, and Ohio State in person. He also recently got an in person visit from New North Carolina Tar Heels Head Coach Bill Belichick. It’s safe to say Aiden is probably the easiest Junior Bowl selection I’ll ever make.
Aiden has been widely regarded as the best defensive lineman in the Class of 2026 and has grown into a 6’5 and 255-pound absolute monster. His ability to push the pocket and create quick pressure on quarterbacks from either the defensive tackle or defensive end position is an impressive trait. Aiden has offers from about every school in the country, and he will be the focus of a good Grimsley offensive line up front.
Aiden has done nothing but dominate this season so far for an undefeated Weddington team that looks like a championship contender once again. The biggest news currently is when Aiden takes a visit, and his most recent one was out to Oregon when the Warriors had a bye week. Athletic, fast, and strong off of the football, Aiden, along with his teammates, have been causing issues for teams defensively all year long, forcing turnovers while the offense has steadily been enough to win games.
Weddington has run a lot of three-man and even two-man fronts because the staff has so much confidence in Harris’ ability. As the top interior defensive lineman in the class, he has not disappointed early. He’s always been a high-level pass rusher, but he’s excelled against the run and in the screen game this season. He’s so physically gifted and a terrifying matchup for any high school team.
