Anytime you have 12 sacks in one season, that’s impressive stuff. It’s even more impressive to do it in a program that won the state championship last season. I love Rex’s burst off of the football and a mix of pass rush moves he uses to get to the quarterback and raise havoc. Rex does a good job of keeping an offensive lineman’s hands off of him and shows a special ability to bend the “short corner” to get to the quarterback when he remains in the pocket. As long as Rex continues to grow physically, I can see him definitely moving up in our next rankings update.
