I’ve seen Andrew up close the last couple of years, and Andrew has shown that he can do more than just run block, as that is what the South Point offense is on the vast majority of Friday Nights. Andrew shows good athleticism in space and in pass protection, to go along with being a real people mover at the line of scrimmage in the running game.

Wright plays guard in a run-first South Point offense with wide splits, so he’s a difficult evaluation. That being said, his power is evident and looks natural. He doesn’t have to strain to push guys off the ball, rather he does so with relative ease. He has the athleticism to pull and act as a lead blocker and we really like his tape a lot. A strong spring camp performance vaulted him up our rankings.

Andrew had another good showing at a CFI Showcase, and these are very important for him as it showed he can do a lot more than he is typically asked in a South Point heavy run offense. Andrew held up well in pass blocking 1 on 1’s against defensive linemen, and he moved well throughout the agility circuit portion of the showcase. After the showcase, Andrew received his first offer from Concord University.

Andrew is another strong run blocker on the interior of the offensive line and shows he can pass protect well in camp settings. I have seen Andrew over the last couple of years in person, and he is a hard worker who has a good attitude and is a team player. I think on the next level, Andrew can fit well in a power-based scheme that values players who can move the line of scrimmage consistently in the running game.

Andrew showed once again why he is a ranked offensive lineman in the state of North Carolina. He had good pass protection reps against interior defensive linemen from his guard position in 1 on 1’s. He doesn’t give ground in pass protection on film against bullrushes, and in the running game he can get 2nd level and cutoff linebackers well. The camp settings are important for Andrew as the South Point offense is a very run-heavy system.

What I like about Andrew is that he went out to camps this past off-season and showed things that weren’t necessarily on his highlight film. His high school team runs the triple option which is a lot of run blocking, which Andrew does well. in camps he was able to show that he could pass block just as well, which I thought was impressive. Andrew is a hard worker and should start to see college interest with another strong season this year.
