We’ve seen Suttle in several different settings this offseason, including both the CFI Showcase and Prep Redzone Exposure Camp. Everywhere he’s been, he’s excelled, and we moved him up 21 spots into the Top 35. That tells you what we think of him. He’s starting to get some momentum on the recruiting trail, and if he ultimately ends up at the FCS or Division II level, some team there is going to get one of the biggest steals in the class.

Landon was named a top performer, and seeing him up close, I think he may have grown physically from the 6’3 that we have him listed as on his player profile. Landon has also been hot on the recruiting trail, picking up recent offers from Lenoir-Rhyne, Pembroke, and East Tennessee State. This is just the beginning for Landon, and on Saturday he showed excellent footwork, long arms, and a physical frame with a lot to grow on in a college program. I’m excited to see what the summer holds in store for him.

I’ve seen Landon up close, and the exciting thing about him is the athleticism he’s shown in space in a showcase setting. That’s important because playing in a run-heavy offense like South Point, you don’t always get to show your full skill set as an offensive lineman. Landon has excellent size at 6’4 and 275 pounds, and still has another two years of high school to continue to get stronger and grow physically. As you would expect, he’s a mauler in the running game already from his interior offensive line position. Landon also does a good job in pass protection against defensive tackles, not allowing them to push the pocket with their pass rush.

It can be difficult to evaluate linemen in South Point’s offense due to their narrow splits and unique scheme, but Suttle’s talent is obvious. He’s added some weight since we first evaluated him, and he had a stellar season as a run-blocker for South Point. What’s even better is that when put in pass protection drills at camps, he’s looked right at home, even outside the scope of what he’s usually asked to do on Friday nights.

Suttle is one of the out-of-state stars who will be attending the event. He is a solid size, and is someone who has been viewed in a different light up in North Carolina. The Tar Heel state produces a ton of talent, but how will he do against the Georgia competition? I anticipate he will do really well, as he is one of my favorite prospects in North Carolina. He plays with the intention of making a statement, and there were many times that he did that. He has great vision and hand placement. He is also really strong, which leaves many to believe he will be a possible MVP at the showcase.

Playing in a 4-point stance, heavy run offense at South Point, these types of showcases are important to show how linemen can work in space and in pass protection. I thought Landon did both of these things well here. Now listed at 6’4 275 pounds, Landon showed well in pass protection during the 1-on-1 portion of the showcase. His film shows him with some nice run blocks in the option offense, so he’s on his way to becoming another talented Red Raiders offensive lineman.
