Evaluating underclassmen has always been a favorite of mine and this 2027 class is really fun. We should see a lot of movement in the rankings over the next few years and will adjust rankings accordingly as players develop. With the season right around the corner, here are a few 2027 quarterback stock-risers.

Street looks like a rising sophomore quarterback in that he's wiry and could probably benefit from putting on a bit more weight, especially as a true dual-threat guy. That being said, I love his throwing motion and effortless delivery. He's flashed high-level deep accuracy and is excellent at escaping the pocket and delivering on the run. We're excited to see him as a sophomore.

We've been huge fans of Holtzclaw for a while and then he blew up on the recruiting trail, which only goes to reinforce our belief that he's a high-level Power Four prospect. He's a pocket passer, but he's not a statue and has the speed to escape the tackle box and deliver downfield or pick up a few positive yards. He already has excellent size and has the arm to make any throw in the college game.

I really like the way Broadway plays the quarterback position as he's fearless both as a passer and as a runner. He has a big arm, but more impotantly, he layers throws as well as anyone in the state and he's able to put enough zip on the ball to hit throws between linebackers and safeties. His escapability is excellent and although he doesn't often run, he has homerun speed.

Johnson's size and athleticism are the first things to jump off the page, but I'm also impressed with the advanced way that he's able to use his eyes and subtle movements to look off defenders. He loves a good pump fake and can freeze defenders and allow his receivers time to get open. He will occasionally send some lazy, looping throws over the middle into coverage when he clearly has the arm strength to fire them at a faster rate, but that's something he'll correct as he becomes more experienced.
