Whether you love it or hate it, the high school transfer process is a part of our game now. The dust has seemingly settled on the wave of transfers, so we're now taking the time to break down a few of the impact transfers from across the state. We'll start (as we tend to do) with the quarterbacks who could move the needle for their new squads.

Five Impact Transfers Quarterbacks To Know

Damacio Cueto | Clayton

After graduating one of the top senior quarterbacks in the state, Clayton got a big boost this offseason in the form of the top quarterbacks in the area. Cueto threw for nearly 2,400 yards and 31 total touchdowns last year at Leesville Road. An excellent athlete, Cueto's rushing number could tick up in the open Clayton system that often incorporates designed quarterback runs and options.

Tyler Druzbik | Ambassador Christian

Druzbik is a strong-armed quarterback with good mechanics, and a change of scenery could be helpful for the former Butler quarterback. He started last season strong, but petered out down the stretch as the Bulldogs faced stiff competition and Druzbik faced plenty of pressure. He's moving to Ambassador Christian, which needed a new quarterback after losing its high-upside youngster at the end of last year.

Weston Michalak | Mooresville

Michalak may have the strongest arm in the 2029 class, and the top-five overall rising sophomore moves to the 7A class after a fantastic freshman year at Ambassador Christian. There will certainly be a learning curve, as he's stepping up in competition level, but Michalak threw for nearly 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns in 10 games. He has one of the better deep balls in the state, and I think Mooresville's staff can scheme open some throws to take advantage of that skillset.

Javion Majette | Page

The former Eastern Guilford quarterback is moving to Page. Majette's dual-threat capabilities are impressive and he's one of the more physically impressive quarterbacks in the state. I'm looking for him to take the next step in his development as a passer, and if he can work on his processing and quick trigger, he could put up some huge numbers for a team that is looking for a spark.

Braxton Johnson | East Forsyth

While a few transfers created logjams at the quarterback position for a few schools, Johnson's transfer out of Reidsville simplifies one quarterback battle. After running a three-quarterback system last season, Reidsville now loses two passer, one to graduation and Johnson to East Forsyth. Johnson joins a team that threw the ball nearly 25 times a game and won seven games last season. The Eagles also return two of their top three receivers and should be able to scheme up plays where Johnson can maximize his receivers' yardage after the catch, one of his best skills.
