McGarrigan isn’t the flashiest passer, but he’s effective, and he’s putting up career numbers as a junior. A pocket passer with a quick release, McGarrigan is comfortable spreading the ball around–Apex Friendship has four receivers with over 20 catches and 250 yards on the year. He’s not the biggest guy, but can deliver with velocity to all fields.

McGarrigan moved from the watchlist to the rankings after I dove back into his film this offseason. He has a funky delivery, but can throw with accuracy on the run or in the pocket. He’s at his best when things break down and he’s able to create space for himself. Here’s to thinking he could have a bigger junior year with more experience under his belt.

It might not look like it from his slight stature, but McGarrigan has a really strong arm. That and his pocket movement make him a candidate to have a breakout junior year. Though stats are scarce, his film tells the story of a guy who had a productive sophomore year in a limited capacity. He’s developing and looks like a guy who could have a strong back half of his high school career.
