We're fired up to watch some Oklahoma high school football and our spring camp tour will begin this week! Over the next two weeks we'll see 15 different camps in 8 days and nearly 100 teams will be covered! This week, we have stops at Atoka, Noble, Sallisaw, Claremore, Wagoner, Harrah, Choctaw, Carl Albert and Owasso. In this breakdown, we're putting a spotlight on some of the players from each camp that we're fired up to see in person. For some of these guys, this will be our first chance to see them in person. For others, they are names we've known and watched for years.

Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the week for more player breakdowns. Who's looking great, who's ready to break out, we'll have you covered. And this is just week one! We'll be back on the road next week and have another primer before week two of our spring camp tour!

[player_tooltip player_id='629029' first='Antoni' last='Kade Ogumoro'] - 2025 Offensive Lineman - Elgin

Elgin got a boost this offseason with the move in of 2025 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='629029' first='Antoni' last='Kade Ogumoro'] from North Carolina. As soon as he stepped foot in Oklahoma, he became one of the top 2025 prospects overall and certainly at his position. Friday's team camp at Carl Albert will be our first chance to see the Elgin big man in person and we're fired up to see him go to work. Elgin was already going to be one of the top teams in 2024 but you add a player like Ogumoro and their drop down to 4A and they are a serious contender.

[player_tooltip player_id='294262' first='Alex' last='Shieldnight'] - 2025 Defensive Lineman - Wagoner

Wagoner 2025 defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='294262' first='Alex' last='Shieldnight'] has been committed to Oklahoma for a while and he was a high priority for the Sooners and their coaching staff. We understand why. Shieldnight is an absolute game wrecker and is going to be one of the top players at his position going into this fall. Halfway through his junior season, Shieldnight would set the school record for career sacks and he'll get to just pad that record this fall and put it further out of reach. We'll see him on Thursday night going up against some good competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='268307' first='Brayson' last='Carter'] - 2025 Athlete - Blanchard

Blanchard is looking to defend their Class 4A state championship and they have the firepower returning to do it. Leading that category is 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='268307' first='Brayson' last='Carter'] and he'll be one of the players that we're watching closely at the Noble camp. Whether it's offense, defense or special teams, Carter is one of the best players in the state, regardless of class. He had a significant role in Blanchard's run to the state championship a season ago and he's going to come into the 2024 season as one of the state's top overall playmakers.

[player_tooltip player_id='353410' first='Caden' last='Knighten'] - 2025 Running Back - Pauls Valley

There are few players in the state that we're more fired up to see put the pads back on. 2025 running back and Baylor commit [player_tooltip player_id='353410' first='Caden' last='Knighten'] returns to the field with a new team after becoming a star at Wynnewood. He moved to Pauls Valley and will be playing his senior year with the Panthers. Knighten missed almost all of his junior season and he is ready to make up for lost time. When he was last on the field and healthy, he was one of the best players in the state. He's hungry to take back his spot as the state's top running back.

[player_tooltip player_id='593641' first='Caleb' last='Hawkins'] - 2025 Athlete - North Rock Creek

2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='593641' first='Caleb' last='Hawkins'] helped lead North Rock Creek to their first playoff appearance in school history last fall. What does he do for an encore? Only time will tell. But we're fired up to watch him go to work in person and Hawkins has the ability to impact the game in so many different ways. He'll be competing in what should be a very fun camp in Harrah, against some really good teams, full of good athletes. Hawkins is going to be one of the best playmakers in Class 3A this fall and this will be our first chance to see him in person with the pads on.

[player_tooltip player_id='382643' first='Dakotah' last='Terrell'] - 2025 Wide Receiver - Pocola

We've already tweeted this out but we'll repeat it here. Pocola 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='382643' first='Dakotah' last='Terrell'] is at the very top of our list of players we want to see in person with the pads on. We've only watched film and we're ready to see it for ourselves. Terrell has absolutely exploded as a legitimate D1 prospect this offseason and when you watch the tape, he looks unlike anything we've seen in recent memory. So now, we have to make the drive to Sallisaw to see this potential unicorn in person. To say we're excited would be an understatement.

[player_tooltip player_id='347111' first='Jaden' last='Nickens'] - 2025 Wide Receiver - Douglass

Friday morning in Harrah will be our first chance to see 2025 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='347111' first='Jaden' last='Nickens'] with the Douglass Trojans. After becoming a star at Millwood, Nickens moved to Douglass shortly after the 2023 season. He helped lead the Trojans to a state championship in basketball and he's said several times already that he intends to play for Douglass this fall, despite all the rumors that he'll go elsewhere for his senior season. We're just fired up to see Nickens in person yet again because he is a highlight reel waiting to happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Jamarian' last='Ficklin'] - 2025 Quarterback - Muskogee

Muskogee 2025 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Jamarian' last='Ficklin'] is a prospect that we've watched in person probably more than any other media member (outside of Muskogee) in the state. From offseason 7v7 to team camps and Friday nights, we've seen Ficklin countless times. He has become one of the very best players in the state of Oklahoma and that was evident when he helped lead the Roughers to their first state title in nearly four decades. He and the Roughers will be going to work at the Wagoner team camp, getting ready to defend that crown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1262594' first='Ja'Qwon' last='Evans'] - 2026 Offensive Lineman - Shawnee

When Shawnee participates in Choctaw's team camp later this week, it'll be our second time watching 2026 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1262594' first='Ja'Qwon' last='Evans'] in person in the last month. Evans was one of the top offensive lineman prospects that participated in our camp in late April. But this time, we'll get to see Evans with the pads on and that's where you really want to watch these guys in the trenches go to work. Evans was really good when we saw him last month and now he'll get to be even more physical with the pads coming on.

[player_tooltip player_id='211559' first='JuJu' last='Smith'] - 2025 Athlete - Choctaw

Choctaw is hosting a team camp this week and that gives us a chance to see 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='211559' first='JuJu' last='Smith'] in person once again. Smith is one of the more underrated playmakers in the state and he should be on a mission this fall to open up more eyes. It will begin this week as he should get a chance to perform at a high level in front of various college staffs. Smith recently picked up an offer in the last week and it should be the first of many. Smith is another example of a player that has a significant impact in all three phases of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] - 2026 Running Back - Valliant

We've watched Valliant 2026 running back [player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] quite a bit this offseason but this week in Atoka will be our first time seeing him with the pads on. Golston has been one of the best running backs in the state's 2026 class since we started ranking the 2026 class. Golston emerged as an absolute monster during his freshman season. And college programs are buying into what Golston can be at the next level. He recently picked up an offer from Oregon and this should be a very busy spring and summer for the Valliant standout.

[player_tooltip player_id='840303' first='Lehmantre' last='Olds'] - 2025 Wide Receiver - Star Spencer

It was last year at the Choctaw team camp that we first saw Star Spencer 2025 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='840303' first='Lehmantre' last='Olds'] and we're fired up to see him again. At that team camp, he was arguably the best player in attendance and he immediately caught the eyes of several college staffs that were there. This week, he and the Bobcats will return to Choctaw and Olds will look to remind everybody why he is indeed one of the top wide receivers in the state's 2025 class. He completely took over the camp last year and we're looking forward to seeing the encore.

[player_tooltip player_id='867298' first='Mason' last='Torres'] - 2025 Linebacker - Lincoln Christian

Defending 3A champion Lincoln Christian will start preparation to defend that crown this week when they go to the Claremore team camp. Lincoln has been a program that's been headlined by their offense but this year it could be the defense that grabs the headlines. 2025 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='867298' first='Mason' last='Torres'] returns to lead a defense that has some serious skill coming back. He was one of their leading tacklers a year ago and we just saw him in person a few weeks ago as he earned linebacker MVP honors at our camp in late April.

[player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] - 2026 Athlete - Vian

Vian will be participating in the Sallisaw team camp this week and it'll be our first chance to see 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] in person with the pads on. We first heard about Wright prior to his freshman season. The coaches at Vian were high on his potential and he immediately lived up to the hype. He had a strong freshman season and backed it up with a stellar sophomore campaign. We're looking forward to seeing what he can do this week because he is so versatile and talented, he can do a lot of things very well.

[player_tooltip player_id='353411' first='Nate' last='Roberts'] - 2025 Tight End - Washington

Two-time defending 2A champion Washington will be participating in the Noble team camp this week. So that means we get to see the state's top overall prospect in the 2025 class. Tight end [player_tooltip player_id='353411' first='Nate' last='Roberts'] already looks like he's ready for the next level and that's nothing new. Roberts is a match-up nightmare for opponents at the high school level and we have an idea of what we're going to see when we watch him. The Ohio State commit is going to make some big plays. If the ball is thrown close to him, he's going to come down with it.

[player_tooltip player_id='587266' first='Quincy' last='Shelton'] - 2026 Wide Receiver - Hugo

Hugo 2026 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='587266' first='Quincy' last='Shelton'] is another example of a prospect that we can't believe this week will be our first time seeing him in pads. We've seen Shelton play so much 7v7 football in the offseason that we've seen him more than a lot of other 2026 prospects. But Tuesday evening in Atoka will be our first time seeing him with the pads on. Shelton is without a doubt one of the top dual-sport prospects in the state's 2026 class. He's a spectacular talent at the wide receiver position and we look forward to seeing him.

[player_tooltip player_id='479394' first='Rashaud' last='Hurt'] - 2025 Running Back - Lawton Eisenhower

Lawton Eisenhower is looking to have a big 2024 season as they move up to Class 6A-2. They won't shy away from the competition and they'll see some of it this week when they go tot he Choctaw camp. The Eagles have one of the best running backs in the state's 2025 class but he's still somehow underrated across the state. [player_tooltip player_id='479394' first='Rashaud' last='Hurt'] is absolutely that guy at running back but an injury cut his junior season short. Similar to Knighten at Pauls Valley, we're fired up to get a chance to see Hurt back in the pads and healthy on the field again.

[player_tooltip player_id='467408' first='Ryley' last='Kester'] - 2026 Offensive Lineman - Sand Springs

Sand Springs will once again head to Owasso for team camp and it'll be our opportunity to see 2026 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='467408' first='Ryley' last='Kester'] go to work. Kester is one of our favorite offensive lineman prospects to watch because he shows no mercy and looks to punish his opponent. And he's going to have his work cut out for him this week. At some point, the Sandites will line up against Owasso and the Rams have a talented defensive line. Kester won't shy away from the challenge and it'll be a good chance to see him against some top competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1179991' first='Tajh' last='Overton'] - 2026 Defensive Lineman - Owasso

Owasso 2026 defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1179991' first='Tajh' last='Overton'] has been one of the fastest risers in the state's 2026 class this offseason. Overton went from somewhat of an unknown at this time last year, to one of the best overall prospects in his class now. As he enters his junior season, Overton has really racked up the offers and it's not going to slow down anytime soon. Overton and the Rams will be hosting on Friday night and it'll be fun to see him go to work with an Owasso defensive line that is emerging as one of the state's best units.

[player_tooltip player_id='598824' first='Trystan' last='Haynes'] - 2025 Athlete - Carl Albert

Carl Albert is looking to continue their dynasty this fall and having a player like 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='598824' first='Trystan' last='Haynes'] returning will certainly help. Haynes was one of the absolute best players in Oklahoma last fall. He was a complete player and had such a significant impact in all three phases of the game. Haynes has really emerged as one of the top overall prospects in the state's 2025 class and he recently committed to Oklahoma, continuing the pipeline from Post Road to Norman. This will be our first chance to see him since his commitment.
