2027 Rankings Update: ATH

The updated Top 75 for the class of 2027 has been officially posted! Now that these rankings have been posted, I will be taking the next week or so to break them down by position. Emongo is an electric playmaker on offense who you simply get the ball in his hands then let him use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to make big plays. He does a lot of his damage as a ball carrier, finishing this past season with 20 carries for 382 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games. Emongo also caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns as a freshman. Timmy also played a role on defense, finishing the year with 22 tackles and one interception which he returned for a touchdown. On offense, Driver lines up at tight end where he is a very reliable target in the passing game. He has the speed to stretch the field along with the athleticism to go up and catch passes at their highest point. Driver also is able to use his speed and athleticism on defense to pose as a threat as a pass rusher from the defensive end spot. On defense, Tomlin lines up at outside linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading the play quickly then using his speed to get to the ball carrier and make the tackle before they can get going. Tomlin finished this past season with 50 tackles and four tackles for loss in 10 games. He also showed the ability to rush the passer, finishing the year with two sacks. On offense, he showed the ability to make plays as both a ball carrier and pass catcher. He finished his freshman year with 15 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns along with eight receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He had a strong freshman year as a passer, completing 162/272 passes for 2,071 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 11 games. While he was impressive throwing the ball, he was just as dangerous as a ball carrier. He showed the speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away for a long run at any given moment. Goodin finished his freshman year as his team's leader in rushing with 186 carries for 1,100 yards and 16 touchdowns. Johnson was very impressive at receiver during his first season at Hazard. He showed the ability to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive back to create separation in the deep passing game. Johnson also showed impressive contested catch ability, using his athleticism to catch passes at their highest point while showing the strong hands to bring in catches through contact. Gavin finished this past season with 39 receptions for 350 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. He also made an impact on defense at safety, finishing the year with 63 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one interception.
