Daven Hood Daven Hood 5'11" | 165 lbs | ATH Lexington Christian | 2027 State KY played a key role in LCA’s 2A State Championship run this past season. He finished his junior year with 94 carries for 578 yards and 13 touchdowns in 11 games. Hood is difficult to tackle in the open field as he can make quick cuts to make defenders miss or use his strength to break their tackles with ease. Once he hits the second level, he has also shown the speed to run away from the defense for big gains. He also caught 13 passes for 118 yards as a junior and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 47 tackles, one tackle for loss, and an interception. Daven currently holds offers from UT-Martin and Glenville State, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see more come his way soon.

On offense, Hood is a very dangerous deep threat at receiver, showing the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs. He also has very reliable hands, showing the ability to make catches away from his body through contact. Hood finished this past season with 27 receptions for 309 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. He also scored one rushing touchdown and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 54 tackles and an interception. Daven doesn’t currently hold any offers but will be a player to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.
