was a game-changer on both sides of the ball for Lexington Christian on Friday night. Pearson finished the game with a touchdown reception in the fourth quarter and an interception during the first half. Pearson was flying to the football all night long and brought great energy on the defensive end. His name was being called all night long by the announcer at White, Greer & Maggard Stadium. Offensively, he made the most of his opportunities with the football and used his physicality to fight for extra yards through contact.

played a key role in LCA’s state title run last season. He is a very reliable receiver on offense who does a great job of using his speed and smooth breaks in his routes to create easy separation. Pearson also has impressive hands, showing the ability to catch passes away from his body with ease, regardless of what type of coverage is around him. Sam finished his junior year with 25 receptions for 480 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games. He also ran the ball 11 times for 87 yards last season and made an impact on defense at free safety, recording 23 tackles and a team-high four interceptions. Sam is committed to Ohio where he will likely play receiver and I can see him having a productive collegiate career.

knows how to get open. As a wide receiver, Pearson is an excellent route runner with deep threat abilities. He catches the ball without breaking stride and demonstrates awareness of his position on the field. Defensively, he shows great anticipation for the ball as a DB and is solid in man coverage. Caught the game-sealing interception defensively to send LCA to the state title game. He committed to Ohio to play wide receiver earlier this month over EKU, Kent State, Army, and Rhode Island.
